I got a perm back in January this year, then became pregnant around May, so I hadn't touched my hair for about 8 months. As you can see in the left photo, my hair got way too long and completely damaged, so I decided I couldn't leave it like that anymore and committed to a cut. Since my hair had gone through repeated perms and coloring, the texture was really damaged — before the treatment I couldn't even comb through it properly — but after the cut and clinic, it definitely had shine! Since I don't plan to touch my hair again until I give birth, I asked for a medium length that could go untouched for another 4-5 months. They said it's best not to wash your hair for about 24 hours after the clinic to maintain the effect. Every time I looked in the mirror before, my hair looked so bad and it brought my mood down... but this really gave this pregnant lady a proper mood boost! It's been 4 days since the cut, and it's wild how, even with no styling — just air-drying — it falls into place like it's slightly permed, just like in the photos, all thanks to a good cut! I think I'll just let it grow until I give birth and come back for a layered perm afterward.
