Here's the menu at Ganbame, this Jeonpo-dong restaurant-bar. Signature items included hotpot dishes like mala hotpot, beef hotpot, and spicy daechang-sundae hotpot, plus tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cakes). There was also pork trotters, yukhoe (beef tartare), yukhoe-mukeunji-mari, perilla cream pasta, tofu kimchi, mandu-egg soup, and much more — a huge, wide-ranging menu. And there was even more beyond that. The trotters were glossy and glistening, and even though the portion looked big, there wasn't a single bone with nothing to eat — it came out fully deboned. On the side came stir-fried shredded cabbage. Crisply toasted bread with butter, ice cream, and kaya jam — a combination everyone can't help but love. Dipping it deep into the sweet ice cream took care of dessert completely!
