I was looking for a solo meal near Seomyeon Station in Busan when I suddenly craved something cold and refreshing. You can't really talk about Busan without milmyeon, right? So while walking around Jeonpo-dong, I stopped into Seomyeon Milmyeon after a long while.

Pairing the icy mul-milmyeon with dumplings turned out to be a pretty great combo. The vibe was totally fine for solo dining, so this place came to mind when I was looking for a solo-friendly spot near Seomyeon Station.

## Where is Seomyeon Milmyeon, and how far is it from Seomyeon Station Exit 8?

Seomyeon Milmyeon is located at 25 Seojeon-ro, Busanjin-gu, Busan, South Korea, inside Eos Plaza. Coming out of Seomyeon Station Exit 8, I got there faster than I expected.

It's a solid location between Jeonpo-dong and Seomyeon Station for grabbing a meal while wandering around. Being in the heart of Busan, there's plenty to see nearby too, so it was easy to plan the route before or after eating.

When I'm trying a restaurant for the first time, I actually care a lot about whether it's easy to find. Seomyeon Milmyeon sits right off a main road, so finding it wasn't hard at all.

From the outside, it's less flashy and more like a long-standing "milmyeon specialty restaurant."

It naturally put me in the mood for mul-milmyeon in Busan. If you're wandering around Seomyeon Station or Jeonpo-dong and can't decide on a solo meal, Seomyeon Milmyeon is worth remembering just for the accessibility alone.

## Inside Seomyeon Milmyeon: easy solo seating and kiosk ordering

Walking into Seomyeon Milmyeon, the interior was bigger and cleaner than I expected. With several tables set up, it works for solo diners as well as bigger groups.

What I especially appreciated was that going in alone didn't feel awkward at all.

While waiting for the cold mul-milmyeon, I sipped the warm broth first. Drinking warm broth before the cold dish is part of the fun of a milmyeon restaurant.

When you want to grab a quick meal and keep moving between Seomyeon Station and Jeonpo-dong in Busan, the solo-friendly atmosphere at Seomyeon Milmyeon quietly turns out to be a big plus.

If you're driving around Seomyeon Station in Busan, parking is always a worry. Seomyeon Milmyeon is inside the Eos Plaza building, so you can use the building's parking lot. When I visited, there was "30 minutes free parking."

That timing works well with quicker dishes like mul-milmyeon or dumplings.

That said, parking conditions can change depending on when you visit, so it's worth double-checking. If your plan is to explore Jeonpo-dong or Seomyeon Station on foot, public transit looks convenient too.

I've seen plenty of restaurants in downtown Busan with no parking at all, so having building parking at Seomyeon Milmyeon definitely felt like a plus.

## Seomyeon Milmyeon menu and prices

The core menu at Seomyeon Milmyeon is, of course, "mul-milmyeon" and "bibim-milmyeon." When I visited, mul-milmyeon was 10,000 won and bibim-milmyeon was also 10,000 won. Extra noodles were 3,000 won, and dumplings were 7,500 won. I actually liked how simple the menu was.

With a menu this uncomplicated, there wasn't much to agonize over at the kiosk. If it's your first time at a Busan milmyeon restaurant, starting with mul-milmyeon is a solid choice. If you're going with a group, ordering mul-milmyeon, bibim-milmyeon, and dumplings to share sounds good too.

I was dining solo, but mul-milmyeon alone felt like it might not be quite enough. So at Seomyeon Milmyeon, I ordered one mul-milmyeon plus dumplings. The idea of cold noodles paired with warm dumplings had me looking forward to it from the moment I ordered.

## How do the icy mul-milmyeon and hot dumplings taste?

First, the mul-milmyeon arrived, and the "icy broth" caught my eye right away. With seasoning and toppings on top, it looked refreshing just from the sight of it.

I stirred the seasoning evenly into the broth, then mixed it well with the noodles before eating. At first, the broth tasted cool and tangy-sweet.

As I kept eating, a light spiciness followed toward the end. It wasn't overwhelmingly spicy, so my chopsticks kept going back for more. As the ice slowly melted, the seasoning and broth blended together naturally.

Eating the chewy noodles alongside it really felt like proper Busan-style milmyeon.

The meat topping was mild and light, pairing well with the tangy-sweet broth.

And the dish I was looking forward to just as much as the mul-milmyeon was the warm dumplings. The dumpling skins weren't too soft — they had a slight, satisfying chew.

The inside stayed moist, which made them great dipped lightly in soy sauce. After a few bites of the cold mul-milmyeon, taking a bite of the warm dumpling completely changed the temperature and texture — it was fun going back and forth between the two.

I did wonder whether adding dumplings would be too much for a solo meal, but I ended up eating a filling, satisfying meal.

If I'm ever at Seomyeon Station in Busan looking for a solo meal, or wandering Jeonpo-dong craving something cold, Seomyeon Milmyeon — where you can have mul-milmyeon and dumplings together — will probably come to mind again.

It's less a restaurant with a flashy, extensive menu and more a place focused on doing "one bowl of milmyeon" well. If you want to eat something quintessentially Busan without much fuss, while also dining solo comfortably, the mul-milmyeon and dumpling combo at Seomyeon Milmyeon between Seomyeon Station and Jeonpo-dong was pretty good.
