I went to Starfield Goyang and wanted a hearty bowl of soup nearby, so I stopped by Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch. They had haejangguk, tripe soup, dombe pork, braised cutlassfish, and a side of lamb's tripe salad. I wanted to try a bit of everything, and since there was a set menu, I ordered set menu 3. I'd been worrying the individual dishes might be too much food, so having the set menu option was great 👍

They brought out two bowls of rice first, along with chili peppers and ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste).

Every table had seokbakji (diced radish kimchi) and minced garlic — you scoop the seokbakji onto the plate provided, and add the garlic into the soup to taste.

The whole set menu 3 arrived. (Totally generous portions!)

### Dombe pork, 80g of sliced boiled pork

First up, the dombe pork (80g).

That glossy sheen looks so delicious, doesn't it 🤤

Eaten with the garlic, chili, and salted shrimp that came with it, it was so tasty!

### Half broth, half filling: the haejangguk

Next is the haejangguk. It arrived still bubbling away, making it look even more delicious — magic ⭐️ By the way, this was the first time I'd seen a haejangguk with this many toppings...!

Just look at the portion! It felt like half broth, half toppings. There was chili paste mixed in inside, so at first I scooped it out and enjoyed the clear broth, then later stirred the chili paste in for a spicier version — really nice.

Inside were meat, ox blood, glass noodles, bean sprouts, and other varied toppings — the broth was clean and refreshing, and the seasoning was just right, so it was really delicious 👍 By the way, if there's something you can't eat, you can ask them to leave it out in advance (e.g. "no ox blood please," "no chili paste please," etc.).

Stirring in the seasoning and a spoonful of minced garlic made it even more delicious! Koreans really do love garlic 💛

### Boneless braised cutlassfish from Jeju

Last is the braised cutlassfish. It's a dish with boneless cutlassfish from Jeju in a spicy-sweet sauce. There was really a lot of fish in it. The potatoes and radish cooked alongside were also fully soaked in the sauce — total rice thief!!

This broth is seriously packed with umami, so I kept scooping spoonful after spoonful.

The coiled boneless cutlassfish and the sweet radish were both absolutely top-notch 👍

Mixing the rice with the cutlassfish and its broth was pure bliss 🤤 Since it's boneless, you can just scoop it up with a spoon, so it was really convenient, and the meat was so soft and savory.
