There are often days when I want a light, healthy lunch. There are lots of restaurants around Munjeong Station because of all the offices, but the choices narrow down when I actually try to find a clean diet-friendly meal. This time, I visited Olla Poke Munjeong Main Branch in the basement of Terra Tower near Munjeong Station. It is already a much-talked-about salad spot among people looking for good food around Munjeong Station, so I went in with high expectations. The restaurant is tucked inside Terra Tower's basement food court, making it easy to get to. Even before entering, its clean, modern interior caught my eye.

Outside, the posted hours were displayed along with the cumulative sales total. Seeing that number really made me think this must be a popular place. Once inside, the white and orange color scheme felt bright and hygienic overall.

There was a range of seating, from spots that are comfortable for dining alone to tables for two and four. Since ordering is done at a kiosk, I could take my time looking over the menu and choosing.

## Poke menu and base choices

The menu offered everything from signature poke to custom options. With main toppings including tuna, salmon, shrimp, and steak, it was easy to choose according to my taste.

That day, I ordered garlic shrimp poke and flat iron steak poke. I especially loved that I could choose the base when ordering.

I could choose salad only, adjust the ratio of salad to oat brown rice, or select buckwheat noodles.

I chose a buckwheat noodle salad base for the garlic shrimp poke, and ordered the flat iron steak poke with a 7-to-3 ratio of salad to rice. It was just the right option for dieters who want to control their carbohydrate intake when eating poke.

Once the number I was given appeared on the monitor, I went to pick up my order.

The self-service station had soy sauce for adding more if desired, lemon water, and rooibos tea.

## Takeout garlic shrimp and steak poke

I took my order home to eat. First, the garlic shrimp poke had a wonderful combination of buckwheat noodle base and plump, springy shrimp. The garlic aroma came through without being overpowering, and it worked well with the sauce and texture. I worried the buckwheat noodles might taste bland, but they came with a soy sauce dressing, so it was clean rather than bland. The vegetables were also very fresh, with a lively crunch.

The flat iron steak poke had meat that was better than expected. It was not tough, and the generously portioned steak was cooked just right with plenty of smoky grilled flavor—perfect for a protein boost. Choosing the 7-to-3 salad-to-rice ratio gave me both fullness and lightness. The standard toppings, including red onion, corn, pineapple, and seaweed, were varied enough that I enjoyed every bite without getting tired of it.

Among the salad restaurants around Munjeong Station, I thought this was one of the places with the widest range of toppings and base choices. The portions were generous overall, and the ingredient combinations worked well, so I was very satisfied. If you want a light yet nutritious meal around Munjeong-dong or Terra Tower, it is definitely worth stopping by. Olla Poke Munjeong Main Branch would be a reliably good choice for anyone looking for a salad spot near Munjeong Station. Next time, I would like to try the salmon or tuna poke too.
