Had another delicious meat meal today!!!!!!!!

I'm always on the lookout for a BBQ place where the staff grills for you — turns out there aren't as many as you'd think, haha. This one's already well known among meat lovers, but I finally made it out myself! 'Jipbul Taebaek Suwon Ingye Branch'

It'd been a while since I was in Ingye-dong, and nothing had changed at all~

## Jipbul Taebaek Suwon Ingye Branch: hours and how to get there

Jipbul Taebaek Suwon Ingye Branch is open daily from 11:30 to 1:00 the next day, at 27 Gwongwang-ro 196beon-gil, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, 1st floor, unit 101. It's near Nahyeseok-gil in Ingye-dong, Suwon, so it's reachable by public transit or car.

### Getting there by subway: skipping the stairs at Exit 9

It's a 10-minute walk from Exit 9 of Suwon City Hall Station on the Suin-Bundang Line. Here's a genuine tip if you're taking transit! Exit 9 has a very~ steep staircase, so on your way there, use the elevator in the NongHyup building instead — highly recommend!!!

We showed up around 7pm, and even then there were quite a few people, but by the time we left, it looked like the dinner crowd was really rolling in!!? So in we went!

## What the dining room feels like inside

The moment we walked in, the space was so neatly arranged it made a great first impression. The tables and chairs were all well kept, and the space didn't feel cramped, so it was easy to relax and eat. Everywhere looked well managed, which also put me at ease about cleanliness.

It wasn't overly done up — just clean and comfortable, the kind of place you could bring family or friends without any worries. Overall it felt well run, and I had a good meal there :)

The side dishes came out neatly arranged all together! Each one was plated tidily, which looked great, and there were more varieties than I expected. Nibbling a little of this and that paired well with the food, and there was fun in picking whatever suited my taste.

Tasting each side dish one by one was fun in itself, so I never felt like anything was missing while working through the main dishes :)

We ordered pork jowl and beef short ribs!! They already have a famous marinated prime rib, but that needs a 2-serving minimum, and we wanted to try other things this time, so we went with pork jowl and beef short ribs instead~

Eating the pork jowl and beef short ribs together, each had its own charm, so it was fun going back and forth between them! The pork jowl had a nice nutty, chewy texture — not too dry, with plenty of juiciness that kept my chopsticks coming back. The beef short ribs were tender and clean-tasting, with the meat's own flavor really coming through — I enjoyed them a lot.

We also tried the guacamole together, and it matched surprisingly well! Clean-tasting yet nutty and creamy, it went great alongside the meat, and eating them together gave a whole different flavor. It was a freebie so I wasn't expecting much, but the taste was solid and the portion was just right — really enjoyed it :)

Can't have galbi without bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold buckwheat noodles), right? We slurped that up too, and it was clean-tasting and delicious :0

## Why having the staff grill your meat is worth it

Both dishes looked like good-quality meat, and the staff grilled everything to a perfect eating point, so the whole meal was hassle-free. With them grilling, it was so much easier to keep chatting, and the just-right doneness meant the meat came out delicious every time!!

I think both pork jowl fans and tender beef short rib fans would leave satisfied. Next time I come, I absolutely have to try the marinated prime rib too!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

The staff even wrapped up a ssam for us with meat, grilled kimchi, and rice cake! I hadn't even noticed since I was busy mixing the guacamole ~ and then soybean powder got thrown into the combo too, which made me go 'what is this?' — but as always, whatever they put together turned out perfect~

Wrapping the guacamole into the tortilla too — clean-tasting all the way through! With the meat's juices mingling with that light sauce, it was the perfect finish to a delicious day out!!
