Hi, this is Rimu. I had some time in Seongsu after finishing up business nearby, and since I was hungry with nowhere in particular to go, I remembered hearing about a great burger spot in the area. So I went — and it was so good I have to tell you all about it. Ta-da.

On the way up, the stairwell was covered in hip-looking burger shop posters. This is definitely Seongsu, I thought!

## Ordering at the kiosk, picking up takeout at the counter

At bd Burger Seongsu, takeout orders can be placed right at the counter. If you're eating in, you order directly from the kiosk on your table.

I didn't expect the place to be this big until I got upstairs — the tables were pretty generous in size. Visiting on a weekday at 3pm, there were about three or four free tables.

There was a self-bar for drinks, and ketchup, wet wipes, and straws were all neatly stocked there too.

The signature menu items seemed to be the whole shrimp burger and the wasabi shrimp burger. If you take part in the review event, you get free coleslaw.

## The wasabi shrimp burger set, with eggplant fritters as the side

What I ordered was bd Burger Seongsu's wasabi shrimp burger set. Interestingly, besides regular fries, they also offer eggplant fritters as a side. I'd never tried burgers with eggplant fritters before, so I went with that and waited. Once everything's ready, a pickup pop-up appears on the kiosk.

And here it is — the long-awaited wasabi shrimp burger.

Honestly I was a little worried the wasabi might be so strong it'd sting my nose. But that worry turned out to be completely unnecessary!

One bite in, the wasabi's sharp aroma spread out gently and paired amazingly well with the fresh vegetables. Rather than being intensely spicy, it felt soft and well-balanced — the kind of flavor pretty much anyone would like.

The shrimp patty was genuinely packed with visible whole shrimp, and the plump, springy texture was fantastic.

### Four eggplant fritters: is that enough for one person?

Next I tried the eggplant fritters on the side. I love eggplant so I didn't hesitate to pick it. Only four pieces came out, so at first I thought, 'Won't that be a bit skimpy alongside a burger?'

But once I actually ate it, the amount felt just right and I never once thought it was lacking. The batter was crispy while the eggplant inside was moist and soft — a textbook example of crispy-outside, tender-inside. I wanted to give myself a pat on the back for choosing this over fries. 👏
