Hi, this is About the 30s of the Cycle.

On a weeknight, my wife — who loves freshly baked, chewy wood-fired pizza and pasta — and I wanted to have a Hapjeong–Sangsu alley date again, so we said "tonight we're definitely going for the chef's signature wood-fired pizza, made by someone with 15 years of experience! 🍕" and went looking for a good restaurant near Hapjeong Station. That's how we ended up here!!

It turned out to be a proven Napoli wood-fired pizza and pasta restaurant with 15 years behind it, with a warm, cozy vibe and walls full of polaroids holding years of memories — a real hidden gem!

It's on the ground floor of an alley off Dokmak-ro, midway between Hapjeong Station Exit 6 and Sangsu Station, so it's a nice spot to walk to while looking around!! The exterior already gives off that warm, welcoming feel of a place that's held its ground for a long time 💡

Stepping inside, cozy, comfortable lighting wraps around you — perfect for a couple's date or a gathering with friends 👍 There's also a neatly prepared tablet ordering system with an English menu for foreign guests, which made ordering really easy!

Looking at the menu, there was a great range to choose from, from cloud bread salad to gamberi crema, hanwoo (Korean beef) cream pasta, and a quattro stagioni pizza with four flavors — great for sharing a variety of things together.

We ordered the best-selling oil pasta, the gamberi crema shrimp cream pasta, and a half-and-half pizza (croccante, funghi prosciutto) to enjoy both signature flavors at once!

First up came the gamberi crema shrimp cream pasta, looking absolutely mouth-watering!! 🔥 Fresh arugula, plump shrimp, cherry tomatoes, and garlic all came together, and one bite in, the seasoning was just right and not overpowering — my wife and I inhaled it while marveling 😋

Next up, the highlight of today's meal — the half-and-half pizza (croccante, funghi prosciutto)!! 🤩 Fresh out of the wood-fired oven, the fluffy yet chewy pizza dough was pure art 📸

The croccante, a combo of garlic and cheese, was pure bliss the moment I bit in — a savory burst of cheese filling my mouth completely 😍 And just as that cheesy richness was fading, alternating with the funghi prosciutto pizza, with its bacon and tomato sauce, made the sweet-and-salty combo unstoppable 🤣

We could've eaten several more plates of this sweet-salty-spicy foul combo!! Between the delicious oil pasta and the freshly baked sweet-and-salty pizza, we cleaned every plate to the point our stomachs were about to burst haha 🤤

## Is Hongdae Hwadeok Pizza worth a weeknight date?

Living up to its 15-year reputation in Hapjeong, this was a fully satisfying meal, from the crisp-outside-chewy-inside signature wood-fired pizza to the clean, delicious oil pasta!!! 😍

With the cozy, warm atmosphere, friendly service, and even an instant polaroid memory event, this is a genuine gem that's a solid pick for a Hapjeong Station date course 👍
