I spend a lot of time studying with my iPad, taking online classes and notes, and before bed, watching YouTube or Netflix in bed is my only little pleasure. But because I had been using my tablet laid flat on the desk, I realized I was constantly bending my head right down. Maybe it was because I was getting that so-called “turtle neck” posture, but my neck and shoulders felt so stiff and uncomfortable. So I decided enough was enough and started looking for a new tablet stand to help correct my posture.

## A weighty metal body and wide base

When I first took it out of the box, my first thought was, “Oh, this is pretty substantial!” It had a weightiness on a completely different level from cheap plastic stands. Since the entire thing is made from aluminum-alloy metal, it felt very solid and sturdy.

The silver metal finish also looked very clean and polished. With its slim, compact design, it blended in well anywhere on my desk without disrupting the décor. The base is quite wide and weighty too, so even with a heavy tablet on it, it did not seem likely to wobble or tip over.

The thing I was happiest with while using the 비티냐 stand was its stability. This product has been thoughtfully designed with features to protect the device and prevent slipping.

First, the head of the stand where an iPad or smartphone rests has broad silicone protective pads attached. Thanks to these pads, I had no worries at all about scratches even when placing a bare device on it, and above all, the device felt completely stuck in place without sliding. I deliberately set it at a fairly steep angle, and it still held up steadily.

That was not all. The underside of the stand also has a broad anti-slip pad. Because of that, the stand itself did not slide across the desk at all. A lightweight stand I used before would get pushed backward every time I touched the tablet screen, so I had to hold it with one hand. But the 비티냐 stand stays firmly planted, which made it really nice to use steadily without wobbling while writing on the tablet or playing games. These thoughtful finishing touches seem to raise the product’s overall quality.

## Up to about 23 cm of height and flexible angle adjustment

The biggest reason I chose this product was its height and angle adjustment. This 비티냐 tablet stand has a double-joint structure, so its angle can be adjusted very freely, and it also offers three levels of height adjustment. It extends to about 23 cm at maximum. That is a major difference from typical stands that only adjust the angle. When I actually set the height to the maximum, I could position the screen at almost the same level as my eyes without a separate monitor riser.

Thanks to that, I no longer had to bend my head down and could look at the screen with better posture. I could definitely feel less strain on my neck and shoulders. I think this is an essential feature, especially for people like me who take online classes for a long time or do lots of document work. The joints are also quite strong and firm, so even with a heavy iPad Pro on it, there was no gradual slipping down of the angle or height—the so-called “nodding head” effect. I really liked how it stayed fixed at exactly the angle and height I wanted.

## Convenient 360° rotation for showing a friend the screen

There is a reason “360° rotation” is in this product’s name. The stand’s base rotates smoothly through 360°. It may not sound like much, but after using it, I found it incredibly convenient. For example, when I wanted to show something on my screen to a friend sitting next to me while studying, I used to have to lift and turn the whole heavy stand. With this product, though, I only need to give the head a little push with one finger, and it rotates very smoothly.

## From studying to watching videos in bed

I mainly used this iPad stand while studying. Setting my tablet at eye level for online classes helped me focus better, and most of all, my neck was comfortable enough for long study sessions. Of course, it works hard during my downtime too. It is just as good for YouTube or movies. By freely adjusting the height and angle, I could enjoy content in the most comfortable position on the sofa or in bed.

It also worked perfectly well for holding a smartphone, not just a tablet. It held my phone steadily when I set it upright for video calls or web browsing. There was no need to buy separate phone stands—this one product handled everything, so my desk became much tidier.
