I asked my husband, and he said he was on his way home!! So I quickly set out the kids’ dinner at lightning speed, then happily skipped off to a great samgyeopsal (pork belly) place in Samsong. There’s a Samsong samgyeopsal place I really love!! It’s the kind of place where there may be people who have never been, but probably nobody who has gone only once!!! > Neopttakjip (넙딱집) Samsong Branch That’s the place. 🥰 The name is so unusual that you can’t forget it once you hear it! Haha. I really like this old-school restaurant mood. It reminds me of my college days.... haha. Getting old, hehe! haha. Honestly, when ordering meat, I sometimes wonder, “What cut is this?” Here, it was so nice that everything was clearly marked. Thanks, honey❤️ Once the meat was cooked, I followed the staff member’s instructions and dipped it in sesame oil, perilla seed powder, and a dab of salt 💜 Even without much seasoning, the meat practically melted in my mouth. How can pork be this tender with absolutely no gamjae, that porky smell? It almost felt like eating top-grade Korean beef. It has a curry aroma mixed with pepper, and once you taste it, it’s the kind of addictive salad you start scooping up by the spoonful. Haha. The amazing thing is that this side dish is at the self-service bar!!! We dipped it in meljeot (fermented anchovy sauce), then in perilla salt. At first, I wondered whether 600g might be too much for two people?? What an unnecessary worry.. haha. So much fun choosing what to eat!!👍😝❤️ I especially love wrapping meat in lettuce, so I made lots of neat little wraps with meat, garlic, and seasoned garlic scapes—yum yum, haha.
