Pyeongtaek kalguksu lunch with a 17-month-old and high chair: Goryeo
In short
Goryeo Mulchong Kalguksu (고려물총칼국수) is a clam kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) restaurant on Pyeongnam-ro in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi. The blogger had lunch at Goryeo Mulchong Kalguksu with a 17-month-old and ordered the two-person set of kalguksu for two, napa cabbage mandu (dumplings) and suyuk (boiled pork); the high chair, baby tableware and tender pork made the meal easy. Apart from a slightly narrow entrance road to the parking lot, Goryeo Mulchong Kalguksu is a good Pyeongtaek lunch spot for eating out as a family with a baby.

A kalguksu restaurant in Pyeongtaek that works for lunch with a baby: Goryeo Mulchong Kalguksu
Goryeo Mulchong Kalguksu (고려물총칼국수) is a clam kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) restaurant on Pyeongnam-ro in Pyeongtaek, and we went for lunch with our 17-month-old, haha. I was looking for somewhere to eat with the baby in Pyeongtaek, and I really liked this place!

The staff were friendly, the food was tasty, the prices were fair, and the restaurant was clean and tidy, so it was great to visit with a baby~ When eating out with a baby these days, taste matters, but I always check for a high chair and baby tableware too, and this place had that covered, so I was happy^^ I'd recommend it to anyone looking for good kalguksu in Pyeongtaek or a hearty lunch spot in Pyeongtaek :)

They also had a review event~ If you join it, you can enjoy some tasty sikhye (sweet rice drink)! It was a nice sweet way to finish the meal :) Little extras like this made me even happier^^

Parking at Goryeo Mulchong Kalguksu: how is the entrance?
The restaurant has its own parking lot, so it was easy to come by car^^ The one downside is that the entrance road into the lot is a bit narrow~ Experienced drivers should be fine, but if you're a beginner you might feel a little nervous going in, ugh.
Still, there is dedicated parking, so driving there was convenient. Apart from that, I was very satisfied overall, haha.

New menu items: perilla oil goldongmyeon and spicy goldongmyeon
Looking at the menu, I saw new items: perilla oil goldongmyeon (mixed noodles) and spicy goldongmyeon, haha. We were busy with the two-person set that day and had no room for anything else, but I definitely want to try the goldongmyeon next time~ People who love perilla oil dishes will probably be curious too, haha. I plan to try it on my next visit^^

Does Goryeo Mulchong Kalguksu have a high chair and baby tableware?
Yes, there are a high chair and even baby tableware, so we could eat comfortably with our 17-month-old^^ The restaurant felt tidy and clean overall, which was good for eating with a baby!
When eating out with a baby, a place without a high chair is really a headache, so I appreciated these basics being ready~ I thought it would be fine for a family meal too..!
Self-bar with cabbage, radish pickles and kimchi
Personally, one thing I loved was the self-bar at Goryeo Mulchong Kalguksu!

There was cabbage, radish pickles, kimchi and more, and every one was tasty, so I kept going back~ They go well with kalguksu, and you can take as much as you want! A good self-bar makes eating more fun, haha.

What comes in the two-person set at Goryeo Mulchong Kalguksu?
The two-person set comes with kalguksu for two, napa cabbage mandu (dumplings) and suyuk (boiled pork). The lineup is really good, haha. You get all this variety at a price that isn't burdensome, so I felt the value was great^^
Eating pork and mandu together rather than just noodles for two made the meal more varied, which I liked..!

Tender suyuk that is easy to share with a baby
The suyuk came out first from the set, and it was really tender~ It was important for us that the baby could share it, and the pork here is soft, so it was easy to share!

I cut it into small pieces for the baby, and it was easy to feed without worry^^ When eating out as a family, having a dish the child can share makes things so much easier, haha.

How do you eat the clam kalguksu? The 5-minute sand timer
The main clam kalguksu works like this: you enjoy the clams first, then add the noodles~

Enjoy the clams first, then add the noodles, flip the 5-minute sand timer, and you're done!

With the sand timer, you don't have to wonder how many minutes to boil, haha. Eating the noodles on time, the broth was refreshing and the noodles were delicious~

Eating clams first and then moving on to the noodles felt like enjoying several dishes in one meal^^

Napa cabbage mandu that beat expectations
The napa cabbage mandu was better than I expected~ As the name says, it's a dumpling with napa cabbage, and it feels different from ordinary mandu, so it's a nice specialty >.<

Maybe because I like cabbage dumplings, I really enjoyed them^^ With the pork and mandu, we were already quite full before the kalguksu even arrived, haha.

Finishing fried rice and free coffee
You can have fried rice at the end, and it was almost like unlimited refills^^ We were already full, so we had just one basic serving, and even that was plenty, hahaha.
Clams, pork, mandu, kalguksu and fried rice: it felt like a properly full meal! The portions were generous, and I thought the value was good..!

After the meal, we could also have coffee for free~ I made myself an iced americano, and it was better than I expected, so I was happy, hahaha. Finishing a meal with a cup of coffee made it feel like a proper lunch^^
Who would enjoy Goryeo Mulchong Kalguksu?
From pork to napa cabbage mandu, clams, kalguksu and fried rice, you can eat a lot in one visit, so it should suit anyone looking for good value~ If you're looking for kalguksu in Pyeongtaek, I'd recommend Goryeo Mulchong Kalguksu..! It's also worth a visit if you want a hearty lunch in Pyeongtaek, haha.
