## In short

Dotdot Milyang Main Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Milyang, Gyeongnam, serving Jeju-style grilled pork its own way. We ordered thick fresh ogyeopsal, gochujang pork brisket, tiger bean doenjang-jjigae, and pollock roe mayo rice for a filling meal. Verdict: a fun choice for alternating between two distinct pork styles.

While passing through Milyang and looking for somewhere to have dinner, we stopped by Dotdot Milyang Main Branch (돗돗 밀양본점), a spot that does Jeju-style grilled pork in Dotdot's own way!

Maybe because it was Friday evening, there was a wait. The restaurant is not huge, so booking ahead for dinner would probably be more comfortable. True to its phrase about good grains and rich meat, this Milyang meat restaurant had an interesting lineup not only of pork but also rice and sides :)

## Dotdot Milyang Main Branch location and parking

It is at Units 16 and 17, 1F, 10 Miribeoljungang-ro 5-gil, Milyang-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea. It is open daily from 16:00 to 24:00, with last orders at 23:30. Group visits, reservations, and Wi-Fi are available.

We visited on a Friday evening, and people were already waiting, so we waited too. There are not an enormous number of seats, so I think it would be best to reserve ahead on weekends or during the evening rush. We used the parking tower right beside the restaurant; I do not remember doing any separate parking registration during our visit, but I recall it being free for around two hours.

## A cozy, wood-toned dining room

Inside, wood tones, a dark ceiling, and soft lighting came together to make for a cozy atmosphere for grilled meat.

Each table has an ordering tablet, and there is also a self-service bar on one side where you can pick up ssam vegetables (wrap greens), kimchi, green onion kimchi, garlic, and more.

The wall introduces dishes such as ogyeopsal, pork brisket, wild-greens barley rice, and tiger bean doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew) with photos, so choosing what to order was easy too.

## Our ogyeopsal and pork brisket order

![Menu listing pork dishes](https://img.superchart.com/images/miryang-dotdot-pork-dinner/miryang-dotdot-pork-dinner-08-z70cw-966.webp)

Looking at the menu, there was a wide range of pork cuts, from fresh ogyeopsal, chewy pork, and skirt meat to fresh pork jowl, gochujang pork brisket, and Dotdot pork skin.

That day, we ordered two portions each of ogyeopsal and gochujang pork brisket, plus tiger bean doenjang-jjigae, pollock roe mayo rice, steamed rice, and a zero-sugar drink. Fresh ogyeopsal was 120 g ₩9,000 × 2; gochujang pork brisket was 120 g ₩9,900 × 2; tiger bean doenjang-jjigae ₩5,000; pollock roe mayo rice ₩3,500; steamed rice ₩1,000; and a zero-sugar drink ₩2,000. Based on the menu, the total came to ₩49,300.

## Thick-cut fresh ogyeopsal

Two portions of fresh ogyeopsal came to ₩18,000. We put the fresh ogyeopsal on the grill first, and the thick slices with just the right layer of fat looked delicious even before cooking.

![Two portions of fresh ogyeopsal on the grill](https://img.superchart.com/images/miryang-dotdot-pork-dinner/miryang-dotdot-pork-dinner-13-1rp0g-966.webp)

Once it browned nicely on the grill, its nutty flavor really came through, and the thickness gave it a satisfying chew.

It was nice being able to have one kind of pork in several combinations by alternating the accompanying salt, spicy seasoning, and wasabi.

There was also meljeot, a Jeju-style salted anchovy sauce, and it went so well with the meat.

![Meljeot accompaniments for ogyeopsal](https://img.superchart.com/images/miryang-dotdot-pork-dinner/miryang-dotdot-pork-dinner-17-hge3n-966.webp)

I also liked the variety of accompaniments for the meat: olive kimchi, regular kimchi, green onion kimchi, cabbage salad, soy sauce, and garlic saeujeot (salted shrimp) :)

## Gochujang pork brisket for a change of pace

Two portions of gochujang pork brisket came to ₩19,800. And the gochujang pork brisket really caught my eye! The thinly rolled pork was generously coated in red seasoning, so it felt distinctly different from the ogyeopsal.

Following the thick, clean-tasting ogyeopsal with seasoned pork brisket changed the whole flavor mood, so the pairing worked well. Eating it with kimchi, green onion kimchi, or wrap greens cut through the richness now and then, making it easy to enjoy without getting tired of it.

## Tiger bean doenjang-jjigae and pollock roe mayo rice

The tiger bean doenjang-jjigae was ₩5,000.

![Tiger bean doenjang-jjigae](https://img.superchart.com/images/miryang-dotdot-pork-dinner/miryang-dotdot-pork-dinner-20-1uifq-966.webp)

A stew is a must with grilled meat, so we ordered the tiger bean doenjang-jjigae too. The bubbling stew had plenty of tofu and vegetables, and with a bowl of rice, it made for a hearty meal. A spoonful of warm doenjang-jjigae here and there while eating the ogyeopsal and pork brisket was definitely a great match.

The pollock roe mayo rice was ₩3,500.

Personally, the pollock roe mayo rice caught my eye from the presentation alone! It came with pollock roe, mayo, and seaweed on top of the rice, so it was easy to mix it up and wrap it in the seaweed. The salty roe and rich mayo worked nicely together, and it was a good side when we wanted rice with the meat—I kept reaching for it without even realizing.

## Sides and the self-service bar

What stood out to me at Dotdot was that the side-dish lineup was as varied as the meat.

![Self-service bar with wrap greens and kimchi](https://img.superchart.com/images/miryang-dotdot-pork-dinner/miryang-dotdot-pork-dinner-22-1pk69-966.webp)

Along with napa cabbage kimchi, green onion kimchi, and wrap greens, it was convenient to get more garlic, peppers, and any other banchan (Korean side dishes) we wanted from the self-service bar. There was also an accompaniment of cabbage and tiny dried anchovies, plus various kimchi and sauces, which were great for alternating with the rich pork.

## The review event running during our visit

![Dotdot visit review event information](https://img.superchart.com/images/miryang-dotdot-pork-dinner/miryang-dotdot-pork-dinner-23-xe2u3-966.webp)

A review event was also running when we visited. You could call over a staff member, request the receipt, scan a QR code to write a review, then show it to the staff member to receive the benefit. According to the sign, you could choose either grilled cheese or one glass of Suntory highball.

## When you want to alternate between two pork styles in Milyang

![Ogyeopsal and pork brisket meal spread](https://img.superchart.com/images/miryang-dotdot-pork-dinner/miryang-dotdot-pork-dinner-24-bqmam-966.webp)

We stopped in for dinner while passing through Milyang, and the place had personality in everything from its Jeju-style grilled pork to the sides and meal dishes. Ordering the thick-cut ogyeopsal alongside pork brisket with a totally different seasoned profile made it nice to alternate between two styles.

Adding tiger bean doenjang-jjigae and pollock roe mayo rice also made it feel like a proper, complete meal rather than just stopping at meat :) Still, there really was a wait on Friday evening, and there are not a huge number of seats, so I recommend booking if you are visiting during the dinner rush! It was a worthwhile Milyang meat restaurant to try when you want grilled pork along with slightly more unusual sides.
