## In short

Flirting Box (플러팅박스) is a party room in Gangnam, Seoul, a 10-minute walk from Apgujeong, Sinsa, Hakdong and Gangnam-gu Office stations. The side-project team Coffice booked the NIGHT slot for 3 hours (6pm to 9pm), mixed cocktails from the 35,000 won gin set and talked through server costs on the whiteboard and projector. For a team dinner and a working meeting in one room, Flirting Box was a solid choice.

Hi everyone~ I'm Meongu, a developer! I've been running a side project for a few years now — it's Coffice, an app for finding cafés good for working.

I've written about Coffice before, but today was one of our monthly/bimonthly offline meeting days. It was a chance to bond with the teammates I've been working with all this time and discuss where Coffice should go next. Today I'm writing up our review of using Fluttering Box, a party room in Apgujeong, for our side-project dinner and meeting.

## Where Flirting Box is and what it costs per hour

Fluttering Box is located between Apgujeong, Sinsa, Hakdong, and Gangnam-gu Office stations — it's about a 10-minute walk from any of them. The address is 36-5 Nonhyeon-ro 150-gil, 1st floor, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

Fluttering Box charges ₩30,000 per hour for DAY time and ₩50,000 per hour for NIGHT time. We used the NIGHT time slot for 3 hours (6pm-9pm).

Fluttering Box is located in the building shown above. If you contact the owner, they'll come out and open up for you.

## Inside Flirting Box: the room and the kitchen

Here's the interior of Fluttering Box — the air conditioner up top and the kitchen. It was keeping nice and cool inside when we walked in, and you can control it with the AC remote. I set the temperature to about 26 degrees and waited for my Coffice teammates to arrive.

Looking at the kitchen area again, there were various drink glasses, a wireless charger, and other convenient items ready to use.

Here's another shot of the kitchen and a corner of the room. Note that after using the space, you need to tidy up completely and get the owner's confirmation before leaving. Hearing that made me think we'd better keep things clean, haha. They also provide general waste and recycling bags so we could sort things properly when cleaning up.

Here's the full interior of the Fluttering Box party room. I took this while waiting for the Coffice teammates to arrive one by one. Right past the entrance there's a whiteboard you can use for meetings, and to the right of the photo there's a projector you can connect to a computer — great for discussing topics, running meetings, or doing icebreakers for a party. This place could be used for parties, meetings, blind dates, and many other purposes.

## What comes in the 35,000 won cocktail gin set

We also added the cocktail gin set at Fluttering Box — for ₩35,000 you get a whole set including tonic water, cider, orange juice, gin, water, and more. It let us mix up all kinds of drinks.

This is the gin cocktail recipe guide available at Fluttering Box. It showed recipes for gin tonic, gimlet, Tom Collins, White Lady, and Orange Blossom, all at a glance. You could also adjust the mix with more orange juice, tonic water, or cider to make things milder, so everyone could drink according to their own taste without pressure.

A Coffice teammate personally brought New York-style snacks! Since it was our first offline meetup in a while, I was so grateful they brought these — it made the party room even more fun.

We could mix various drinks and use the different-shaped glasses set out next to them. I don't know much about cocktails so I wasn't sure how to go about it... but luckily one of our teammates makes cocktails at home, so I got to watch and learn.

You can also listen to music through the inkel speaker in the Fluttering Box party room. There's a YouTube channel set up inside that you can play for atmosphere, or you can skip it entirely.

Here's the scene of us mixing cocktails at Fluttering Box. We poured the mixed drinks into various cocktail glasses. The little hourglass-shaped cup on the right measures 1oz and 0.5oz, which came in handy for making cocktails.

Our resident bartender for the day mixing cocktails! Here they're adjusting ratios to match whatever drink was wanted. We filled cups with ice and enjoyed a variety of cold drinks.

Making gin tonics, gimlets, and more! They taste really sweet and delicious, but apparently the alcohol content is stronger than expected. If you drink it too fast because it's so tasty, you could end up drunk, so lighter drinkers should be careful. Since we still had our Coffice side-project meeting to do, getting drunk would've been a disaster, lol.

With help from our Coffice bartender-for-the-day, I got to have an Orange Blossom too. I love orange juice, so it was delicious. ☺️

It tastes like orange juice but you have to remember it's still alcohol, so I sipped it carefully... 🤤

The delicious New York snacks and chocolate bread our Coffice teammates brought made for a really abundant dinner spread.

## Can you order food delivery to Flirting Box?

> A side-project dinner enjoying delivery food to the fullest

We ordered delivery at Fluttering Box and ate Kyochon Chicken, pizza, and even mala xiang guo (Chinese spicy stir-fry). It was great that delivery orders were allowed so easily. Just remember — you need to clean up thoroughly to be able to check out!

A bite of pizza with our cocktails at Fluttering Box... and another bite... the shrimp pizza and steak pizza were so good. Great order.

## How the Coffice team meeting went with whiteboard and projector

![The Coffice offline meeting taking place at Fluttering Box](https://img.superchart.com/images/flirting-box-apgujeong-party-room/flirting-box-apgujeong-party-room-23-1bk9t-900.webp)
*And so the Coffice offline meeting began*

And so the Coffice offline meeting began. This time our side-project agenda was tackling the growing server cost deficit that came with our rapidly increasing user base. We discussed ways to cut server costs and agreed on both short- and long-term measures to implement.

We also discussed how to split the server costs and Naver Maps API fees we've racked up while running Coffice so far. On top of that, we talked about expanding ad space to help cover the growing operating costs. It's exciting and fun to see more users join the service, but it's also its own kind of headache when you can't cover the costs that come with it. It's an ongoing problem we'll keep having to solve, haha... 🤤

![The interior of Fluttering Box during the meeting](https://img.superchart.com/images/flirting-box-apgujeong-party-room/flirting-box-apgujeong-party-room-24-1by4m-900.webp)

Here's the scene of our offline meeting happening inside Fluttering Box. Running a side project comes with all kinds of worries, but I think getting to know the teammates I've led this with for years is the biggest asset of all.

This is the shot we took wrapping up our side-project offline meeting. Delicious cocktails, New York snacks, chocolate bread, pizza, chicken, and mala xiang guo — I think this is the first time this year I've eaten this much variety in one meal. It was a chance to enjoy good food while also thinking through where to take Coffice next. Fluttering Box was a space where we could bond and also have real conversations, and we made good use of it.

## Which gatherings suit Flirting Box in Apgujeong?

This time, I held an offline meeting and dinner with my Coffice teammates — who I've been running this side project with for years — at Fluttering Box, a party room in Apgujeong. From delicious pizza, chicken, and mala xiang guo to New York snacks and bread the teammates brought, plus cocktails we mixed ourselves, it was great to relax and catch up after a long time.

What I liked most was that it's not just a space for drinking and dinner — being able to run an actual meeting using the whiteboard and projector made it a great fit for a side-project gathering.

Coffice has been running for several years now, and as our user base grows, new headaches like server costs and API fees have come up too. This offline meeting gave us a chance to talk through how to manage operating costs more efficiently and where to take Coffice next.

But most of all, what I liked best was that teammates who've built this service together online for years could finally meet in person, eat good food, and talk comfortably. 😊 If you're looking for a party room near Apgujeong or Sinsa for a team dinner, team meeting, side-project gathering, or just hanging out with friends, Fluttering Box could be a solid choice.
