Maybe because it's close to the Seoul Children's Science Museum, there were quite a few families with kids the day I visited, and customers kept coming in even past lunchtime, well after 2pm. You cut the katsu and dip it into the cheese like fondue, and my husband said this dish was the best of all. If you're looking for somewhere to eat with kids in Daehangno, this is the dish I'd want to show you first — the rubber-duck omurice. This is honestly a visual kids can't help but love haha. With a cute rubber duck sitting on top of the yellow omurice, the kids' attention was completely locked on it the moment it arrived. All eyes on the table the moment it showed up — the rubber-duck omurice, almost too cute to eat. And here's something that really touched me. When you order the rubber-duck omurice, they give kids a duck figurine and a tube float as a gift, and it seemed like it's usually just one set, not one per child. But since we have two kids, Hajji and Sojji, the staff gave us an extra duck figurine, worried the two might fight over it. This kind of small consideration meant so much to me — you could really feel that they love kids. ### Is Omil's rubber-duck omurice spicy for young children? Let me split open the soft omurice. One thing to note though! The rubber-duck omurice looks completely kid-friendly, but it does have a slight spicy kick. Our 5-year-old Hajji ate it up just fine, but our 4-year-old Sojji said it was spicy and wouldn't eat it. For very young kids, it's probably a good idea to check the spice level before ordering.
