When the seasons change, you know that itch to switch up your style!? My cousin Sumyeong said she wanted a new hairstyle too, so we searched hard together and found Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch :)

Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch is on the 2nd floor of 14 Gangnam-daero110-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, less than 5 minutes on foot from Sinnonhyeon Station. It's open daily 10:00–20:00, closed September 25 for Chuseok.

I sat obediently in the waiting seats as directed. The waiting-area table was really nice haha.

They welcomed us with a warm cup of tea, so thoughtful..♥ My throat was already dry so the welcome tea was a total win haha.

## Starting point: hair damaged by a perm two months ago and a self-dye a month ago

Today's model, Sumyeong. Her hair was pretty damaged from a perm two months earlier and self-dyeing a month before that 😢

When we showed her the style we wanted, she explained in detail how the treatment would be approached based on the individual hair condition and characteristics.

I'm guessing Re-Born perm is an unfamiliar term for a lot of people, so let me explain — Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch's Re-Born recovery perm follows these 5 steps.

## Inside the salon: welcome tea, snacks and Wi-Fi during the service

While she'd gone off to the shampoo room after the cut, I took some photos of the inside of Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch. Fresh off a cut and no hair on the floor, you're surprised? They clean up right away ♡ The interior was spacious with wide seat spacing, so comfortable!

## Applying Shiseido UP-TEX and a protein ampoule

This is the Shiseido care line UP-TEX! The kick that minimizes hair damage in the Re-Born perm! The protein ampoule is mixed well and applied all over the hair. Once it's evenly applied, you wait for the hair to be ready.

Having a restroom inside the salon was such a plus! It was kept clean and tidy too :)

I got a shock looking in the mirror right by the restroom door haha — in this world I'm just an average girl, but at Park Jun Beauty Lab am I secretly a goddess?!

This is the winding and heat-processing step. Designer Yeeun's hands were seriously fast!!

After the heat processing finished, she smoothed the top section into the setting. This way you get calm plus curl, all at once!

After the treatment, she also explained in great detail how to dry the hair. How you dry a perm really matters, so make sure to remember what she tells you!!

## Layered C-curl perm result: frizz tamed, a more grown-up mood

Just as Sumyeong wished for a more grown-up look, the vibe shifted into something calmer and more mature haha. Maybe it's the Re-Born perm, but the curls looked extra bouncy too!
