A good spot to come for pie, or just to spend some easy time.

## Saison de Pie, a pie specialist café near Seocho Station

I was killing some time near Seocho Station and looking for a light dessert when I wandered into Saison de Pie. True to its name, it's a place built around pie — everything from apple pie and pecan pie to menu items with names curious enough to make you want to try them, like engadiner and lululemon pie.

The café itself is small and quiet, a nice place to pick a pie and enjoy it with coffee, or just pack it up to take home. With so many pie varieties, it's actually kind of fun standing in front of the display case debating what to get.

The dessert lineup is big enough that it also looks like a decent option for a light gift.

## What pies does Saison de Pie make, and why same-day only?

There are so many kinds of pie that alternating between them is genuinely fun — eat something nutty and sweet like pecan pie or engadiner, then switch to lululemon pie and your whole palate resets. The variety rivals plenty of dedicated cake shops. And they say all pies are made to be sold the same day.

There's also a range of biscuits and nut-based items.

Boxed pie packaging is available too! This box looked like it was meant for whole pies.

### Check Saison de Pie prices on the in-store menu board

The coffee menu is affordable and pretty varied too.

The pie prices listed on Naver tend to differ a bit from what's in the store. And quite a few pies don't have prices posted at all — but ask and they'll tell you right away!

## What the writer ordered: engadiner, pecan pie, lululemon pie and a hazelnut latte

This time I ordered engadiner, pecan pie, lululemon pie, and a hazelnut latte.

The hazelnut latte has a flavor pretty much anyone could enjoy. That signature nutty, sweet hazelnut aroma comes through gently, so it wasn't too heavy to pair with the pies.

### Takeout at Saison de Pie comes with an ice pack

I got my pies to go, and I appreciated that they packed an ice pack separately for the takeout order. Especially on a hot day, if you're not eating the pie right away and need to travel with it, this kind of packaging really helps.

They even made sure to leave space so the pies wouldn't tip over, haha.

### Engadiner: nutty walnut and caramel

The first thing I tried, engadiner, apparently takes its name from a traditional pastry from a region of France. It's built with pâte sablée, caramel, honey, and walnuts, and one bite brings both a buttery pie flavor and a rich walnut nuttiness. The syrup inside is quite sweet, but the walnuts balance it so the sweetness doesn't overpower everything. There's an extra layer of pastry on top too, so the pie's flavor really comes through more than in a typical walnut dessert.

### Pecan pie: the signature done by the book

I ordered the pecan pie because it's one of Saison de Pie's signature items. It's made with pâte brisée, maple syrup, honey, butter, and pecans, and it comes topped with a generous amount of pecans. The nutty aroma and crunchy texture hit first, followed by a rich, dense flavor from all those packed-in nuts. With the sweet syrup and buttery flavor added in, it pairs really well with coffee.

Personally, of the three I tried this time, the pecan pie gave the most classic kind of satisfaction. The flaky pastry, the nuttiness of the pecans, and the sweet syrup don't feel separate — they all arrive together at once.

### Lululemon pie: the bright, citrusy palate cleanser

Even the name is playful — lululemon pie. On top sits a light, refreshing cream, and the moment you take a bite, a bright lemon aroma comes through. Despite being called a cream, it never feels heavy or rich — if anything, it cleanses your palate in a cool, refreshing way. It's described as combining fresh lemon ganache with a cream base, and eating it, it really does taste as bright and citrusy as it looks.

## Is Saison de Pie a good dessert café near Seocho Station?

Overall, Saison de Pie felt less like the usual cake-and-bakery dessert spot and more like a place to enjoy properly made pies, with options ranging from rich and nutty (pecan pie) to bright and citrusy (lululemon pie) — plenty to pick from depending on your mood.

If you're near Seocho Station looking for a dessert to have with coffee, it's worth a stop, and it also seems like a good place to pack a few different pies to share at home. If you like the nutty, syrupy flavors of pecan pie or engadiner in particular, you'll probably enjoy it a lot.

I only tried three kinds this time, but since the pie lineup keeps changing and there are seasonal menus too, it made me want to come back and try a different pie next time.
