I had some things to take care of near Hapjeong Station, and after finishing up I went looking for somewhere to have dinner — that's how I found Nahonsha, known as a spot for sukiyaki dinner in Hapjeong.

## An atmosphere where eating alone feels easy

Walking in, a staff member greeted me kindly, and the soft lighting and cozy atmosphere carried through the whole space.

There were seats well set up for eating alone, so it felt totally comfortable to visit as a solo diner. The overall vibe was quiet and calm, so I could eat by myself without worrying much about my surroundings.

The seats were also kept clean, which made for a comfortable meal.

### Individual pots and phone stands

Nahonsha is a place where you can enjoy shabu-shabu and hon sukiyaki (solo sukiyaki) in an individual pot. Every table has its own personal pot ready, so it's comfortable to visit alone, and even if you come with a friend or partner, each of you can enjoy your own pot separately, which I really liked.

Each seat had sauce and napkins ready, along with a phone stand. Having everything I needed right next to me meant I didn't have to get up and move around, which was convenient.

## Menu lineup

The menu had a wide variety: clear broth shabu, spicy broth shabu, miso shabu, mala broth shabu, tomato broth shabu, along with hon sukiyaki and Hon Special sukiyaki. With so many types of shabu-shabu, it's a great place to choose based on your taste.

## Hon Special sukiyaki with extra mushrooms, plus Kirin draft beer

That day I ordered the Hon Special sukiyaki with extra mushrooms added, along with a Kirin draft beer! A little while after ordering, the draft beer came out first. Taking a cold sip, the soft foam and clean taste were great, and it was perfect for a light drink while waiting for the sukiyaki.

Soon after, the Hon Special sukiyaki arrived. The pot was generously packed with mushrooms, vegetables, and tofu, while the meat came out neatly on a separate plate.

The meat quality was excellent, and even as a single serving the portion was generous!

Rice came out with it too, which made it a filling, satisfying meal.

I'd added the mushrooms separately — pretty generous even just going by the photo, right?

The staff member poured the sauce into the pot herself. As the pot started to boil, the vegetables and mushrooms cooking through looked genuinely delicious.

Dipping the well-cooked meat into the sauce, the seasoning had soaked in nicely and it was delicious.

The mushrooms kept a plump, springy texture that went well with the meat — I was glad I added them : )

If you're a mushroom lover, adding extra mushrooms is a must!

The vegetables were plentiful too, so eating them with the meat kept things light and clean rather than greasy.

The tofu was mild too, pairing well with the sauce.

Picking through meat, mushrooms, vegetables, and tofu one by one, I got to enjoy a range of textures, and eating it with rice made it even more filling.

## How was it as a solo-dining spot near Hapjeong Station?

Overall, I liked Nahonsha for how comfortable it felt to eat alone. The individual-pot setup felt hygienic, and every seat was well stocked with what you'd need, which made solo dining easy.
