I highly recommend ordering the reasonably priced beef and Iberico set menus and finishing off with slushy iced naengmyeon (cold noodles) at the end! ## Inside Junggye Gogi Party Nowon Branch: seating and atmosphere Visiting over the weekend, the inside was already full of the delicious smell of meat and a lively atmosphere! Fresh scallion salad, crisp cool kimchi, pickled radish, wild garlic leaves, potato salad, ssamjang (dipping sauce), garlic, grilling mushrooms, special sauces, and various salts — all the classic pairings for meat, filling the table haha. Each side dish was mild and neat rather than overpowering, so I kept reaching for them even before the main meat hit the grill, haha. Made up of pork neck and jowl! Its thick cut and vivid texture caught our eyes, and just watching it grill to a golden, crisp-outside-tender-inside finish made our mouths water, ugh. Mushrooms and melljeot went on the grill too! We cut it into bite-sized pieces, let it soak up plenty of charcoal aroma, and took a bite! It had a tenderness that rivaled the beef, with a chewy, savory burst of juice with every chew — truly excellent, haha. The fat wasn't overly greasy, and the umami exploded more the more we chewed, so with a bit of scallion strips or wasabi wrapped in a lettuce leaf, it just kept disappearing, haha. And dipped straight into the bubbling hot melljeot — wow, so good.
