This time, instead of eating right at the restaurant, I wanted to relax with a drink back at the accommodation, so while looking into sashimi restaurants in Jumunjin, I ended up getting mixed sashimi takeout from Minja Hoetjip inside Jumunjin Fish Market. It was a great stop before heading back to the room since I could browse the market and grab sashimi and seafood all in one place. Minja Hoetjip is a sashimi restaurant I visited while wandering around Jumunjin Fish Market, at 3-3 Sijang 2-gil, Jumunjin-eup, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do, South Korea. The yellow signboard stood out, and there were tables set up inside, so eating right there was also an option. When I visited, there were a lot of customers eating, so the inside was pretty busy. There were all kinds of live fish and seafood, but the thing that caught my eye the most was the king crab! Carrying the bag, I had no idea, but once I laid everything out piece by piece, it turned out to be way more generous than expected. Since we were in Gangwon-do, we got some Malgeun Gangwon-do soju to go with it, and having a drink with the sashimi and seafood made it feel like a proper trip. Eating out means having to travel back to the accommodation afterward, but bringing it back to go meant we could relax in comfortable clothes and eat slowly, which was another plus. Especially on a day when you've been out exploring Gangneung all day, there are times when going out again for dinner just feels like too much.
