## In short

Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch is a Korean snack restaurant on basement level 2 of IFC Mall in Yeouido, Seoul, right next to the GS25. The 23,000 won Hyeonseonine set, ordered at medium spice and packed for takeout, came with tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), sundae (blood sausage), fried snacks and gimbap (seaweed rice rolls) — more than enough for two to share by the Han River, with a sauce sitting between thick and soupy. The old school-front Hyeonseonine flavour is still exactly the same here.

I visited a nostalgic snack restaurant today after a long time! It's Hyeonseonine tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) in Yeouido IFC Mall.

![Exterior of Hyeonseonine Premium on basement level 2 of IFC Mall](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-01-krxet-900.webp)
*Exterior photo of Hyeonseonine tteokbokki*

There was a Hyeonseonine right in front of my school, and I went there ALL the time back then (honestly more than my friend's place, haha). Just hearing the name brings back memories... and I happened to be in Yeouido and found out there's one in IFC Mall!?

So this time I got takeout from Hyeonseonine tteokbokki in Yeouido IFC Mall, and as I ate it, it reminded me of the taste from back in front of my school, haha. Today I'll walk you through the Hyeonseonine set I had, the tteokbokki flavor, and the portion size in detail!

## Hyeonseonine Premium at Yeouido IFC Mall: hours, location, prices

Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch is at 10 Gukjegeumyung-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, on basement level 2 of IFC Mall. It's easy to find via the underground passage connecting from Yeouido Station toward IFC Mall.

- Hours: Weekdays 11:00–21:00 / Weekends 12:00–21:00
- Last order 20:40 (I'd recommend double-checking hours before you go!)
- Parking: No parking support (IFC Mall doesn't offer much parking support)

## The Hyeonseonine from my school days, now in Yeouido

Honestly, this isn't my first time eating Hyeonseonine! There was one right in front of my school and I went really often.

During lunch or free periods, my friends and I would go eat tteokbokki, and even on totally ordinary days we'd grab some snacks, haha. Back then it was just tasty tteokbokki, but eating it again after all this time, the memories came flooding back.

This time I got takeout from Hyeonseonine tteokbokki at Yeouido IFC Mall, and the moment I took a bite — ah, this was it!! The taste hasn't changed at all, ㅜㅜ

## How do you find Hyeonseonine inside IFC Mall?

Hyeonseonine tteokbokki is on basement level 2 of IFC Mall!

![Passage leading to Hyeonseonine on basement level 2 of IFC Mall](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-02-1rr88-900.webp)

Go in through this passage on basement level 2.

*On the way to Hyeonseonine~*

Then turn right with this view behind you!

*On the way to Hyeonseonine, part 2~*

Keep going straight in this direction!

![Basement level 2 corridor of IFC Mall with the Hyeonseonine storefront next to GS25](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-05-i35l5-m-900.webp)

It's right next to GS25! If you use the underground passage connecting Yeouido Station to IFC Mall, you can get there without ever going outside, which is convenient. It's a great spot to stop by when you're shopping at The Hyundai Seoul or IFC Mall and craving Korean snacks. If you're looking for a good tteokbokki restaurant in Yeouido, I'd say the location is pretty solid too.

## Eating in at Hyeonseonine and what's on the self-serve bar

There are tables inside the restaurant and also outside, and more people than I expected were sitting down to eat.

![Tteokbokki takeout from Yeouido IFC Mall eaten by the Han River, the Hyeonseonine set from Hyeonseonine Premium](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-06-yibyi-m-900.webp)

![Outdoor seating outside the Hyeonseonine storefront](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-07-b1e6z-900.webp)

There are quite a lot of tables, so it seemed like it would be fine even during peak lunch or dinner hours. Especially for people working in Yeouido, it looks like a great spot to grab quick tteokbokki and snacks during lunch break! When you eat lunch near the office every day, sometimes you just crave this kind of snack food, haha. Hyeonseonine tteokbokki would be great for a Yeouido IFC lunch spot!!

![Hyeonseonine self-serve bar with pickled radish, soy sauce, and salt](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-08-76s0b-m-900.webp)
*Photo of the store's self-serve bar*

There's also a separate self-serve bar inside where you can grab pickled radish, soy sauce, and salt yourself. Whatever you need for the fried snacks or sundae (Korean blood sausage), grab it from the self-serve bar. I ate mine as takeout, but eating it fresh and warm in-store also seemed like a pretty good option!

## Is the 23,000 won Hyeonseonine set enough for two?

![Hyeonseonine Premium menu board with set prices](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-09-1j3z5-900.webp)
*Photo of the Hyeonseonine tteokbokki menu*

What I ordered was the Hyeonseonine set for ₩23,000.

*Tteok-twigim-sundae-gimbap!!*

A full spread of tteokbokki, fried snacks, sundae, plus gimbap (seaweed rice roll)! As a snack food lover, I couldn't skip a single one.

## Taking the Hyeonseonine set out to the Han River

This time I got it packed to go!

![Takeout containers of the Hyeonseonine set](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-11-12mux-900.webp)

Yeouido is close to the Han River, right? On a nice day, picking up takeout from Hyeonseonine and heading to the Han River to spread out a picnic mat seemed like it would be really good.

![Takeout snack food spread out at the Han River](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-12-p20g9-900.webp)

![Tteokbokki and fried snacks eaten during a Han River outing](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-13-1awuq-900.webp)

Especially with the tteokbokki + fried snacks + sundae + gimbap combo, it was the perfect picnic food!!!

Shopping in Yeouido, then taking snack food to go and heading to the Han River — that seems like a solid route~

## How spicy is the medium tteokbokki at Hyeonseonine?

I ordered the tteokbokki at medium spice. Bottom line first: totally satisfied with the medium spice!

![Close-up of Hyeonseonine's medium-spice tteokbokki](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-14-ydj2e-900.webp)
*Close-up shot of the tteokbokki*

It was less spicy than I expected, with a light kick alongside a sweetness. The rice cakes were chewy, and eating them with the sauce, I just kept going back for more.

![Chewy tteokbokki rice cakes soaked in sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-15-pne2b-900.webp)
*Moist rice cakes*

The sauce was especially good, so I kept scooping sauce and rice cake together with a spoon — so good. It had that classic snack-restaurant tteokbokki feel, not fully thick and not fully soupy, right in between!

It had that familiar flavor from old-school snack restaurants... nostalgic in the best way. And the medium spice was just right — if you love spicy food, I'd recommend going spicy instead of medium. Medium probably won't feel spicy at all to people who handle heat well. On the flip side, if you can't handle spice, starting with medium seems like the safer bet, haha.

## Sundae served with liver and lung as well

Next up, sundae (Korean blood sausage)!

![Chapssal sundae served with liver and lung](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-16-c8ygn-900.webp)
*Photo of the chapssal sundae*

It wasn't just sundae — liver and lung came along with it. I like eating organs together with sundae, so this combo was great. The sundae had a chewy texture and clean flavor, and the liver wasn't too dry, which was nice. Dipping it lightly in the tteokbokki sauce is genuinely delicious, haha. Tteokbokki sauce and sundae is a combo that's hard to mess up.

## Trying one of each fried snack in the set

For fried snacks, I had sweet potato, squid, vegetable, and gimmari (fried seaweed roll).

![Four types of fried snacks: sweet potato, gimmari, vegetable, and squid](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-17-7p0nj-900.webp)
*Sweet potato, gimmari, vegetable, and squid fritters*

The sweet potato fritter was sweet and crispy, great dipped in the tteokbokki sauce, and the squid fritter had a nice chewy bite. The vegetable fritter was nutty and crunchy, and of course there's no snack platter without gimmari, haha. Personally, fried snacks are best dunked deep in the tteokbokki sauce.

## Finishing with the mini gimbap

You can't come to a snack restaurant and skip gimbap, haha. I had a plain gimbap alongside everything else.

![Hyeonseonine's plain gimbap, styled like mini gimbap](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-18-y1hgx-900.webp)
*Mini gimbap style*

Having gimbap on top of tteokbokki, sundae, and fried snacks made it feel like a proper full snack meal. Eating a piece of gimbap, then tteokbokki sauce and fried snacks — it all works surprisingly well together.

![Spread showing gimbap eaten together with tteokbokki sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-19-ty2gy-900.webp)

The gimbap wasn't huge, more like mini gimbap style, so it was really easy to eat!

## Is Hyeonseonine worth recommending for tteokbokki in Yeouido?

Eating at Hyeonseonine Premium brought back memories of the Hyeonseonine in front of my old school, and it felt good to eat a nostalgic tteokbokki again after so long.

![Full snack spread with tteokbokki, sundae, fried snacks, and gimbap](https://img.superchart.com/images/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic/yeouido-ifc-tteokbokki-hangang-picnic-20-1afn4-1200.webp)
*Family photo of the snack food*

The medium-spice tteokbokki wasn't too spicy, and the sweet-and-spicy sauce went really well with the fried snacks and sundae. And above all, the ₩23,000 Hyeonseonine set was so much more filling than expected. We ate it as two people and the portion was seriously huge, haha.

Let me give my overall take on Hyeonseonine tteokbokki! (This is subjective, so just take it as reference, hahaha.)

### What was good about Hyeonseonine

- Medium spice isn't too hot and has just the right kick, easy to eat
- You can enjoy tteokbokki + sundae + fried snacks + gimbap all in one go
- The Hyeonseonine set portion is genuinely much bigger than expected
- Great as takeout food for a Han River picnic too

### What was disappointing

- If you love spicy tteokbokki, medium spice might taste a bit mild

When you're craving tteokbokki in Yeouido! When you want snack food for a Yeouido lunch! When you just want something simple! Or when you're looking for somewhere to eat near IFC Mall or The Hyundai Seoul! I'd recommend stopping by, haha. Especially recommend getting it to go and heading to the Han River for a picnic! Just remember the Hyeonseonine set is a lot of food if it's just two of you, hahaha.
