For my sister’s birthday, the three of us ordered a large Hangdon pork platter with distinctive complimentary sides, ramyeon, and kimchi fried rice. Above all, every item served with the meat was distinctive, which made it such a fun Korean barbecue restaurant in Geomdan to eat at. And at the end, there was even an unexpectedly kind review-service treat, haha. There’s a large dedicated parking lot behind the building. Parking is kind of important to me, so I always check!!! Haha. ## A Neat Restaurant Atmosphere I visited Taedon while looking for a good restaurant in Geomdan. Honestly, barbecue places tend to have similar menus, right? Samgyeopsal (pork belly), pork neck, scallion salad, and wrap vegetables, more or less(?) So when I go to a barbecue restaurant, meat quality matters, but I also quietly pay a lot of attention to whether it has something distinctive of its own. Taedon stuck with me in that respect. 🙊 I even prepared a cake for my birthday girl sister, haha. We were hungry, so I left the cake with the restaurant, and I remember how kindly they looked after it for us.^^ My first thought on entering was: so neat! As someone who loves a neat barbecue restaurant, my mood was already up, up, up!!! ## The Large Hangdon Pork Platter and Complimentary Sides Of course, the meat is what matters most. No matter how pretty a restaurant is, the meat has to be delicious at a barbecue place. You could tell at a glance it was good meat!! I picked up a piece and tried it: “Mmm, this meat is good.” That was exactly the feeling. It had a nice meaty aroma and good texture, so I enjoyed it from the very first bite. If you’re looking for samgyeopsal or a Hangdon pork restaurant in Geomdan, the basics ultimately come down to the meat, and Taedon was satisfying from that basic flavor onward. ## The Fun of Pairing Meat with Side Dishes But Taedon’s accompaniments are fun. This is exactly why I’ll remember Taedon. The dishes served with the meat aren’t ordinary. At Taedon right now, there are assorted mushrooms, flat dumplings, chewy noodles, and Dubai chewy ssamjang—rather different from the combinations you’re used to seeing at barbecue restaurants, right? So it was fun trying them one at a time. Restaurants where you simply enjoy good meat are great too, but if there are one or two things you can experience only there, later you remember, “Ah, that was the place that served that!” Taedon was exactly like that. Eat a piece of meat, top the next one with a different banchan (side dish), then try it with another accompaniment. I liked being able to keep changing the combinations instead of eating it just one way. Especially with fatty meat like pork belly, the feeling changes completely depending on what you pair it with. So I thought it would be great for a group too, since everyone could eat it in their favorite way. Ah~~~~~~ With a spread like this, it felt more like we’d had a proper full meal than if we had simply eaten pork belly. With its neat dining room and the variety of things to eat alongside the meat, I thought it would work not only for a meat night with friends but also for a family meal out. ## Yeol Ramyeon and Cheese-Added Kimchi Fried Rice Something else I wanted to have!!! Yeol Ramyeon!!! I forgot the name, ughㅠㅠ It felt refreshing, like it cleared everything out^^ And after meat, of course!!! What a feast we had^^. ## The Review-Service Treat I Remembered to the End And then there was the review-service treat that moved me at the very end ❤️ I’m someone for whom leaving reviews is practically a way of life, haha. But rather than simply thinking, “I got one more thing,” what stayed with me was the kind care they showed us right to the end^^ When food is delicious, you’re satisfied once; when the service is kind too, I think your overall impression of the restaurant becomes better. ## A Korean Barbecue Restaurant I’ll Think of Again in Geomdan It was a place where we ate deliciously and felt good right to the end. I think that’s why I’ll remember Taedon again. I visited while looking for somewhere to eat meat in Geomdan, and my satisfaction was high. 👍 More than anything, I remember four things: the neat restaurant, delicious meat, unusual accompaniments, and kind service at the end. I especially prefer places with features of their own over a spread you can eat anywhere, and I liked Taedon because it was fun to taste this and that with the meat.
