## In short

Lifeclue Powerhold Patella Knee Brace is a running knee brace I wore for after-work runs and post-run stretching in Korea. It felt snug around my kneecap without major rubbing or stuffiness after running, and the included muscle tape and case came in handy. As I started going out for runs after work more often, my knees gradually began to feel a little uncomfortable. I tried the Lifeclue Powerhold Patella Knee Brace to take better care of my knees while exercising. I wore it not only while running, but also when stretching after my workout.

## What came with the brace?

The delivered package was neatly put together. Along with the knee brace, it included muscle tape, and there was a separate case that made it easy to carry in my gym bag. I ended up storing it in my bag and pulling it out whenever I needed it.

## How did it go on, and how did it feel against my knee?

The brace is made with a full-coverage silicone pad, spandex, and soft Velcro. I worried that putting it on might be complicated, but once I tried it, the fastening structure was easy to understand and I got used to it quickly. I could put it on right before exercising, too.

The first thing I noticed after putting it on was the snug fit. The silicone pad felt like it held the area around my kneecap, but for me, the compression was not uncomfortably strong. The material against my skin felt soft, and the Velcro secured it without being too bothersome.

## What difference did I notice while running?

While running, the feeling of my knee wobbling was what bothered me most. After putting on the brace, the supportive feeling around my knee made each footfall feel less burdensome. Especially when I picked up my pace, it seemed to reduce that unstable wobbling feeling, and it gave me some peace of mind, too.

I also tried applying the included muscle tape before working out. I am not particularly skilled at taping, but I could refer to the enclosed guide. Using it together with the brace made it feel even more supportive.

## Was it comfortable to keep wearing after a run?

I kept wearing it after I finished running, and in my use, I did not notice much skin rubbing or stuffiness. The feeling of sweat building up was not severe either. Even while stretching, it followed my movements naturally without getting in the way.

What stayed with me from this use was the close fit around my knee and the comfortable wear that continued after exercise. The peace of mind from looking after my knees also helped me keep up my exercise routine. Going forward, I am thinking of wearing it for squats, light lower-body workouts, and hiking as well.
