## In short

Hado is a course-dining restaurant on Hyanggyo-ro in Haenggung-dong, Suwon, Gyeonggi. The 69,000-won-per-person summer course ran from a pea and sweet shrimp apple tart through Korean melon (chamoe) scallop salad, chogye cold pasta, corn soup and sous vide chicken breast steak to peach mousse cake and tomato granita. Between the summer produce and the low-lit black-and-gray room, Hado is a solid pick for an anniversary date.

While hunting for an atmospheric course-dining spot in Haenggung-dong, Suwon, I ended up at Hado HADO.

It felt like the kind of quiet place where you could really enjoy a course meal, so it seemed perfect for anyone searching for a Haenggung-dong date restaurant.

## What Hado looks like inside, and where to sit

The vibe practically overflows starting from the exterior ✨

![Exterior of Hado restaurant on Hyanggyo-ro](https://img.superchart.com/images/hado-suwon-haenggung-summer-course/hado-suwon-haenggung-summer-course-03-ub55f-900.webp)

The inside was just as sleek and calm, decorated mainly in black and gray.

There are also bar seats set up in front of the open kitchen, so you can watch the cooking happen right in front of you.

Overall it's low-lit and pretty quiet, which made it great for a slow meal for two — and with the atmosphere in mind, I'd definitely recommend it as an anniversary or Haenggung-dong date restaurant!

## Hado course prices: 69,000-won summer course, 45,000-won basic course

Left - Summer course (₩69,000 per person)
Right - Basic course (₩45,000 per person)

This time I had Hado's summer course. From starter to salad, pasta, soup, main, and dessert, the whole lineup was built around seasonal, summery flavors.

## Starters: pea tart and sweet shrimp apple tart

Pea tart & sweet shrimp apple tart
The meal opened with two kinds of bite-sized tarts.

The pea tart screamed summer just from its bright green look. The pea's subtle sweetness and grassy flavor paired with the crisp tart shell for great texture too.

The sweet shrimp apple tart felt a bit fresher — soft, sweet shrimp with crunchy apple made for a nice balance of sweetness and tang. As a first course, it was a light, appetite-opening bite.

## Korean melon (chamoe) scallop salad

Melon scallop salad
Next up, the melon scallop salad, which really nailed the summer season. Thinly sliced melon and scallop came with herbs, and the plating alone was gorgeous ✨

The melon's cool sweetness and the scallop's soft texture worked together more naturally than I expected. Not a combination you see often, so it stood out as one of the most memorable dishes of the summer course.

## Chogye cold pasta and corn soup

Chogye cold pasta
The dish that matched the "summer course" name best — chogye cold pasta. Pasta noodles and chicken sat in a clear, cool broth, like a twist on chogye guksu (cold chicken noodles in a tangy chilled broth). The refreshing, clean flavor went down easy even on a hot day.

Corn soup
Next came corn soup, served in a small bowl — smooth, nutty, with the corn's natural sweetness coming through. The corn kernel topping made for fun texture along the way. If the earlier dishes were cool and refreshing, the corn soup marked a slight shift in tone.

## Main course: sous vide chicken breast steak

Sous vide chicken breast steak
For the main I went with the sous vide chicken breast steak. You can switch to the sous vide chuck flap steak for an extra ₩21,000!

![Hado's sous vide chicken breast steak main](https://img.superchart.com/images/hado-suwon-haenggung-summer-course/hado-suwon-haenggung-summer-course-16-bofe5-900.webp)

Chicken breast usually makes me think of dry, chewy texture, but cooking it sous vide left the inside moist and tender.

A generous crunchy grain topping on top gave a nice textural contrast with the soft chicken breast. The carrot sauce and roasted garlic were also delicious. It turned a plain chicken breast into a genuinely impressive main course.

## Desserts: peach mousse cake and tomato granita

Peach mousse cake
After the main, a free dessert of peach mousse cake arrives. Soft mousse with a crunchy crumble — sweet yet light, it was great for clearing the palate after the main.

Tomato granita
Last up, tomato granita. As the ice crystals melt away, a cool, refreshing flavor spreads, and the tomato's tang leaves your mouth feeling clean. A fitting way to close out the course 👍

## Is Hado worth it, and where to park in Haenggung-dong

![Tomato granita closing the course](https://img.superchart.com/images/hado-suwon-haenggung-summer-course/hado-suwon-haenggung-summer-course-20-8w7so-m-900.webp)

What impressed me about Hado's summer course was how ingredients that evoke summer — melon, chogye, corn, peach, tomato — were woven through the whole meal. The plating felt carefully considered for every single dish, which made it fun to photograph each course as it arrived, and combined with the calm interior and open-kitchen vibe, it's a great pick for a special occasion!

If you're looking for a Haenggung-dong date restaurant that also nails the atmosphere, I really recommend this place! For parking, just use the public parking lot in the building right next door!
