It sits in a hanok right beside Gyeongui Line Forest Park, and the traditional-style exterior really caught my eye. There are also raised outdoor seats in front, which would be lovely for that outdoor-drinking vibe on a nice day. Taking a big perilla-leaf wrap in one bite brought together all sorts of flavors and textures, making it even better. The plain grilled duck was clean-tasting and nutty, with none of that gamey smell—so good! It is at its best dipped in the vinegar-gochujang perilla-seed sauce, haha. It was packed with boneless duck, potatoes, mushrooms, perilla leaves, and more, so it looked amazing from the start. We could let it bubble away at the table and keep having broth while eating the jumulleok; the hearty, spicy broth was perfect for spoonfuls in between. At the end, I even mixed in rice, and it went so well with that deep, pleasantly spicy broth 💜 Next time I want to add noodles such as udon too. It came with a soy dipping sauce as well! Above all, it was moist yet crisp, to the point that I wanted to know the secret. (How do they make it this moist and crisp? I want to know.) They looked so cute all lined up, so I had to take a photo. ## If you want to try two kinds of duck Gongjung Dodeok, which we visited when duck sounded like the restorative meal we needed, was satisfying overall—from the jumulleok and grilled plain duck to the boneless duck gamjatang. If it is your first visit, I recommend the half-and-half set so you can try both kinds of duck at once.
