## In short

Hado is a casual dining restaurant on Hyanggyo-ro near Suwon Station and Haenggung-dong in Suwon, Gyeonggi. Two of us ordered the Hado basic course at 45,000 won per person and worked through a pea tart and sweet shrimp apple tart, minari (water dropwort) yuzu bisque pasta, sous vide chicken breast steak and Earl Grey ice cream, with the chicken breast and its carrot sauce the clear highlight. Gyodong Public Parking Lot next door gives the first 60 minutes free, so Hado is an easy choice for a blind date or a dinner you drive to.

These days good food matters, but so does the mood when you're on a date. This time I visited Hado, a casual dining restaurant near Suwon Station.

![Visiting Hado, a casual dining restaurant near Suwon Station](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-01-gq6nn-900.webp)

At first I just thought I was going for pasta, but once I stepped inside, the atmosphere was way better than expected — honestly a solid spot for a blind date or a date night. Course meals can feel stiff and formal, but Hado felt relaxed while still letting you properly enjoy the food. 😊

## Where is Hado, and what are its hours and parking?

Hado is on the 1st floor of 138 Hyanggyo-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do. Hours are Monday 16:00–21:30, Tuesday to Sunday 11:00–21:30, with a break time of 14:20–16:00 and last order at 20:00.

For parking, you can use Gyodong Public Parking Lot. The first 60 minutes are free, so it's easy to park without worrying about the cost! The best part was that Hado is right next to the exit of the parking lot, so finding it was super easy. No long walk needed — you just step right next door. If you're driving, I'd recommend using Gyodong Public Parking Lot. 😊

## Hado menu and course prices

Hado's signature offerings are the basic course and the summer course, and at lunch they also have the Hado set, pasta set, and pasta salad set. We ordered the signature Hado basic course at ₩45,000, for two.

## What Hado's dining room looks like

The exterior caught my eye first. Done up in black, it had a distinct mood even from a distance.

![Hado's black-toned exterior](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-02-lg5aj-900.webp)

The entrance especially had a bit of a gallery feel to it, and the moment I saw it I thought, 'this place is going to have good vibes.'

![Hado's entrance and sign](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-05-1gogd-900.webp)

Step inside and you get a clean interior mixing black and white nicely. It's all clutter-free, and the lighting works well with the space, so it definitely felt different from your typical pasta place.

There are about 6 tables plus bar seating. Maybe because there aren't many tables, the whole place felt quiet and calm rather than crowded. I actually thought that kind of atmosphere suits a blind date or a date really well. 💕

## Hado's open kitchen 👨‍🍳

![Hado's open kitchen](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-07-rl921-900.webp)

The kitchen is completely open, so you can watch the chefs prepare the food directly. Especially before a dish comes out, you can see them plating and decorating each one, and that was surprisingly fun to watch. 📸

![Plating in progress at the open kitchen](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-08-1malo-1200.webp)

It's not like the food just appears from the kitchen — you get to watch a dish come together right in front of you, which made the course meal a bit more fun to eat.

## What comes in the 45,000-won Hado basic course

Here's how the Hado basic course we ordered was structured.

- STARTER — Pea tart, sweet shrimp apple tart
- MAIN — Minari yuzu bisque pasta
- PROTEIN — Chicken breast sous vide steak
- DESSERT — Earl Grey ice cream

![Table setting for the Hado basic course](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-09-1algi-900.webp)

![Overview of the Hado basic course lineup](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-10-22cno-900.webp)

The courses came out one at a time in order, which made it easy to eat slowly from start to finish.

### Starters: pea tart and sweet shrimp apple tart

First came the starters: pea tart and sweet shrimp apple tart. The pea tart was a combination I'd never tried before, and the nutty flavor of the peas came through subtly. The sweet shrimp apple tart had a fun texture — the apple gave a sweet crunch and the sweet shrimp mixed in, so you got several textures in one bite. 😋

It's not your usual appetizer, so the course felt a little different right from the start.

### Minari (water dropwort) yuzu bisque pasta

![A plate of minari yuzu bisque pasta](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-11-1600h-900.webp)

Then came the main, minari (water dropwort) yuzu bisque pasta! First thing that catches your eye is the size of the shrimp on top. They were pretty big, so it looked great right away. 🦐

![Bisque pasta topped with a large shrimp](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-12-1vcja-900.webp)

They explained that instead of adding all the basil pesto at once, you're meant to spoon it on little by little as you eat the noodles. The pasta also had minari mixed in, and as you chew the noodles, its distinctive aroma comes through subtly.

![Close-up of pasta noodles with minari](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-13-11wz4-900.webp)

Add the flavor of the shrimp on top of that, and the combination was better than I expected. The bright, fresh note of yuzu also came through, making it taste clearly different from a typical cream or tomato pasta.

The owner explained what ingredients went into each dish and how to eat it best every time something came out, which made it easier to enjoy. Getting an explanation for dishes I was trying for the first time really helped me taste them properly. 👍

## Sous vide chicken breast steak with carrot sauce, my top pick at Hado

![Chicken breast sous vide steak with carrot sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-16-7jf8x-900.webp)

And the dish I ended up enjoying most was the chicken breast sous vide steak. Honestly, the first thing you think of with chicken breast is 'won't it be dry?' But thanks to the sous vide method, it was way more moist than expected.

Whether I cut it with chopsticks or a fork, it sliced smoothly and didn't leave that dry, chalky feeling in my mouth. And the carrot sauce that came with it! That was genuinely delicious. 🥕 Dipping the chicken breast in the carrot sauce added flavor to the otherwise plain chicken breast, making it much tastier. I ended up scraping up nearly every bit of the sauce. 😂

It was moist and tender enough that even someone who normally doesn't like chicken breast would probably want to try it once.

## Dessert: Earl Grey ice cream

To close out the course, dessert came in the form of Earl Grey ice cream.

![Plating of the Earl Grey ice cream](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-18-i4gh0-900.webp)

![Close-up of the dessert plate](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-19-19eaa-900.webp)

![Taking a spoonful of the Earl Grey ice cream](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-20-17t26-900.webp)

It cleaned up your palate nicely after the meal, making for a great finish. Overall, the course flowed from starter to pasta to steak to dessert in order, so it was good for slowly talking about each dish as you went, and a solid setup for a date meal.

## Is Hado good for a blind date or an anniversary?

![A table at Hado set for a blind date mood](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-21-d62xk-900.webp)

![Hado's interior atmosphere with mood lighting](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-22-16fg4-m-900.webp)

![Seating inside Hado](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide/suwon-station-hado-course-chicken-sousvide-23-axshn-900.webp)

Hado's biggest strength, I'd say, was the atmosphere of the space itself, not just the food. It has a romantic yet polished vibe, so it'd be great for an anniversary or a special occasion, and it suits blind dates or regular dates well too.

There's even a service where you can request a song to play, which was a nice touch to make a date feel a little more special. 🎵 It felt like the same space could take on a different mood depending on who you're there with!

And every time a dish came out, the owner explained the menu and how to eat it, all very kindly. You don't need to feel intimidated just because it's a course meal — it's a place where you can chat comfortably and still enjoy the food.

## Final verdict on Hado

Hado is the kind of place that'll come to mind when you want a good course meal in a nice atmosphere. If you're looking for a blind date or date spot near Suwon Station, it's worth checking out.

With its clean, polished interior and open kitchen, you get to watch the food being made, and hearing an explanation with each course made it feel more special than a regular meal. The Hado basic course we had was ₩45,000 per person, which felt like an accessible price for a proper course meal.

If you're after somewhere relaxed to eat good food slowly and talk, rather than a flashy, expensive restaurant, I'd recommend this place. 😊 If you're looking for a good-vibes date spot in Suwon, try the course meal at Hado! It's a great Suwon date restaurant whether for a special occasion or just an ordinary day you want to make a little nicer. ✨
