Arriving at the restaurant, I was struck by the clean, welcoming exterior with a hanok (traditional Korean house) feel. The tiled roof paired with wood elements gave off a warm atmosphere at first glance, and the entrance had 'Eonyang Dak Kalguksu' written in big letters, so it wasn't hard to find. What I especially liked was being able to check the menu board outside before going in, so I could see what they served ahead of time. There were solo seats for people dining alone, and a separate charging area for phones off to one side — with more chargers available than I usually see elsewhere, which was convenient. There were also plenty of 4-person tables, so the place seemed great whether you're eating alone, out with family, or coming with a group — and overall the roomy layout meant you could eat comfortably without feeling cramped. They also have disposable aprons available! And off to one side there was a self-serve bar. The basic side dishes were mild kimchi, spicy kimchi, and danmuji (pickled radish), so you could take as much as you liked depending on your taste. It wasn't a broth that was overly salty or just heavy — the more you ate, the more a subtle umami came through, making it hard to stop. Honestly, I think this might be the best broth I've had among all the chicken kalguksu I've tried. The noodles had soaked up the broth well too, so between slurping noodles and sipping broth, I ended up nearly finishing the whole bowl before I knew it. With the generous chicken on top as well, there wasn't a single part — broth, noodles, or chicken — that left me wanting.
