Does everyone here love bakeries?! Today I want to share a piping-hot takeout review from Cozy Bear in Songdo, Incheon — a hot bakery café that's been buzzing nonstop on my local mom café, with everyone saying you absolutely have to try the salt bread here.

I already love going on bakery pilgrimages, and I'm especially serious about salt bread with that crispy-outside, chewy-inside thing going on, so the moment I saw the mom café recommendation post, I decided I had to visit soon. I happened to have errands nearby, so I headed straight to the store without a second thought.

The moment I opened the door, a nutty, salty butter aroma hit my nose and made my mouth water instantly! True to its reputation as a well-known salt bread specialty shop, the store was filled with that nutty bread smell — pure heaven for any bread lover.

In the end I went with 3 plain salt breads plus 1 ang-butter salt bread to cover the sweet side too! Looking at the drink menu, they had quite a variety of coffee options too. Pairing salt bread with a warm, nutty americano or café latte seemed like it would make for the perfect dessert time.

I actually considered grabbing a coffee too, but unfortunately I'd already had a cup right before stopping by, so with some regret I just neatly packed up the salt bread and carried it home. Next time I'll make sure to save room for coffee and have it with a latte.

## What Cozy Bear's plain salt bread tastes like at home

As soon as I got home, I unwrapped everything and plated it up properly to taste. The first thing I tried was the plain salt bread — one bite in, it was crisp enough to make an audible crunch on the outside, while the inside tore apart along the grain, moist and chewy.

The more I chewed, the more that nutty butter-cave flavor from the bottom layer spread through my mouth, and the salt crystals dotted on top gave a salty crunch — clean and delicious! I instantly understood why the mom café members were raving about it so passionately.

### Ang-butter salt bread: sweet, salty and nutty in balance

Next up, the ang-butter salt bread was also a total winner! On top of the signature nutty, salty salt bread base, the soft, thick butter and the not-too-sweet red bean paste came together for a perfectly balanced sweet-salty-nutty bite. The salt bread's saltiness kept the butter's richness from feeling too heavy, so it never got tiring — I just kept eating. All 4 salt breads I brought home disappeared in no time.

After chasing down that mom café buzz, I can confirm Cozy Bear is a spot salt bread fans won't regret! Both the plain and ang-butter salt breads were such high quality that I'm planning to go back soon. Next time I'll definitely order a coffee alongside, and finish off with the potato, mentaiko, and castella salt breads I missed today.
