Once you apply a coat, that worry really goes away. A diamond-painting sealer that firmly holds the beads and keeps their shine... this time, I realized it really is essential. I compared diamond-painting coating liquids from quite a few brands. But Hasi had a noticeable difference. Hasi’s sealer is water-based PVA, so the brand says you can use it without worrying about harmful ingredients. It has almost no smell, and it dries hard and clear, so it doesn’t damage the piece. One bottle lasts quite a while. But Hasi dries to a clean, clear finish, so the original gem-like shine stays exactly as it is! I was honestly so impressed by that part. The piece looks much more polished. First, I lightly brushed away dust from the piece with a soft brush. If you apply too much, it pools between the beads, so the key is a thin, even layer! I used a soft flat brush; the larger the piece, the more efficient a flat brush is. I left it indoors with good ventilation for about a day. After around 12 hours, the surface was almost dry, and after a day it had hardened completely. Depending on the light, some areas caught all the sparkle while others looked dull. After coating, though, the shine looked even overall and the surface felt much more tidy. It had a gloss as if every single gem had been lacquered.
