And the fact that it flowed along without a hitch was moving. So often, I would try reading English in the original, get through a page or two, and close the book. But with this book, I read five pages the moment I opened it, haha. If I had not been away on a trip, I probably would have finished Level 1. After returning, I lightly finished Level 1 at a café and felt the joy of completing an English book, haha. Yes, this is how a beginning should be. It really feels as though it has found the answer to reading English books. I had planned to read English books with my child several times, but it always ended after one day of determination. Being able to read English comfortably without a dictionary definitely reduces the risk of putting the book down halfway through, letting me keep going. For an English beginner like me with a love-hate obsession with English, this is the perfect English reader. It is also ideal for a child’s English reading, so it is good for studying together. I wish we had studied together when I was all excited and making a fuss about English homeschooling. I am full of regrets, but it makes me want to encourage myself that it is not too late even now.
