As I followed the alley, the café came into view, looking neat and stylish from the outside. There are so many pretty cafés these days, but Central Site did not feel overly decorated. Instead, it felt like a place where you could focus on the café’s own atmosphere and the coffee itself. The space did not feel cramped, and the tables were spaced nicely apart, making it easy to relax and spend some time there. When I visited, some people were reading while others had their laptops open and were working. It really felt like the kind of place where you could stay a while and enjoy your coffee. There was outdoor seating too, which would be lovely for coffee on a nice day. I was even more curious about it after hearing that it placed fifth in the 2021 Ethiopia Cup of Excellence. The menu explained that the cherries were grown at high altitude in Ethiopia’s Bensa region and slowly dried using a traditional natural process. When I tried it, I got a sweet, ripe-strawberry-like fruitiness, followed by a clean finish that I really liked. Although it was coffee, it had delicate notes that almost felt like drinking tea, which I absolutely loved. I was curious about the flavor from the name “Peach-Punch” alone, and it was an appealing coffee with the bright character of fruit, just as its name suggested. The menu described rich fruitiness from peach, apricot, and berries, along with a delicate structure. In the cup, it was fragrant and clean. Rather than ordinary small cubes, it came with a large square cube that looked like something you would put in whiskey, which immediately caught my eye. The soft, sweet tiramisu paired beautifully with the fragrant coffee, as expected.
