## In short

Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch is a wood-fired pizza restaurant in a villa basement on Baekjegobun-ro 45-gil in Songpa, Seoul. The order was a half-and-half of the signature gochujang minari (water dropwort) pork belly pizza at 32,000 won and the corn brown pizza at 30,000 won; the signature ran quite hot for a low spice tolerance, while the sweet-salty corn brown and the crisp, chewy dough were the standouts. If spice is not your thing, order half-and-half with the weight on corn brown.

Hi, this is Dal :) I was looking for somewhere to have dinner in Songridan-gil — somewhere with a bit of atmosphere but not too quiet or stiff, a place I could relax at.

![Evening street scene in Songridan-gil](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-01-1c1bz-900.webp)

That's how I ended up at Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch. I figured a pizza place would feel super casual, but once I got there the space itself was way hipper than I expected.

![Entrance leading down to the basement of Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-02-wfcyy-900.webp)

What stuck with me especially was walking into a building that looked like a villa and heading down to the basement — my first thought was "wait, is this really the place?" haha.

## Looking for a pizza restaurant with atmosphere in Songridan-gil?

![Interior of the basement store at Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-03-qb0pm-900.webp)

Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch doesn't have that typical small-shop feel you get around Songridan-gil — the inside is actually pretty spacious and relaxed.

![Spacious, relaxed seating area in the restaurant](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-04-a147y-900.webp)

The music was totally my taste, and the staff overall had a really cool vibe.

![Hip interior design of the restaurant](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-05-1unai-900.webp)

This is a pretty personal take, but the staff all had great style and were good-looking too, which matched the vibe of the place perfectly haha. It seemed like a good spot for a date or for hanging out with a few friends over pizza and beer. So I think it'd also work well for people looking for dinner near a Jamsil date or around Seokchon Lake.

## Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil menu and prices

The first thing that caught my eye on the menu was the gochujang minari pork belly pizza, which clearly had a signature-dish vibe, priced at ₩32,000.

![Menu board at Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-06-ik4d6-900.webp)

![Pizza menu showing half-and-half ordering option](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-07-1t81d-900.webp)

Just the name — such a Korean combination — made me want to try it. But ordering just one felt like a waste, so I went half-and-half, picking the corn brown pizza (₩30,000) for the other half. Pizza Never Sleeps lets you do half-and-half on every menu item, which is great when you're curious about two flavors. If it's your first visit like it was mine, I'd recommend going half-and-half too.

## How spicy is the gochujang minari pork belly pizza?

Just from the photo you can tell the gochujang minari pork belly pizza has serious presence.

![Gochujang minari pork belly pizza topped with minari and pork belly](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-08-1jik1-900.webp)

There was a generous pile of minari (water dropwort) on top along with big chunks of pork belly, so the visual alone was far from ordinary.

✔️Gochujang (Korean chili paste) sauce + pork belly + minari — think of it as Korean-style barbecue put on top of a pizza.

![Close-up of the gochujang-marinated pork belly topping](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-09-1ra2f-900.webp)

But maybe because I'm weak with spice, it was hotter than I expected. The first bite or two were fine, but as I kept eating, the heat just kept building.

![A lifted slice of gochujang minari pork belly pizza](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-10-h8qhr-900.webp)

If you normally eat spicy food well, you might find this totally enjoyable, but if you're like me and not great with spice, you might find it a bit much. Still, the minari's fragrance really cut through the greasiness of the pork belly, so the combination itself was definitely unique. If you want to try something unusual instead of plain pepperoni or cheese, this could be the more fun choice.

## The unexpected winner: corn brown pizza

![Corn brown pizza topped with brown cheese](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-11-v73ty-1200.webp)

But honestly, the one I liked best that day was the corn brown. At first, just seeing the name, I thought "corn and cheese — won't that be a bit heavy?"

But it was completely different from what I expected. On top of a soft corn cream with real corn flavor, they sprinkled finely grated brown cheese, so you get the sweet corn taste and the salty cheese taste together, and honestly, the combination was really good 🧡🧡🧡 It's clearly creamy, but somehow you just keep reaching for more.

Eating a slice of the gochujang minari pork belly and then a slice of corn brown mellowed out the spice a bit too, so I thought the half-and-half combo was actually a great pick. My friend and I even said, "Next time we come here, we're definitely ordering corn brown again" haha. If I go back, I think I'll basically always order corn brown.

## Why the wood-fired dough steals the show

![Edge of the wood-fired pizza dough](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-12-1k2b9-900.webp)

✔️And one thing I loved about both pizzas was the dough.⭐️ I'm usually someone who leaves the crust behind, but here the dough was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, so I ended up eating all the way to the end.

![Cross-section of the crisp-chewy dough](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-13-ov9p0-900.webp)

Maybe because it's wood-fired, the outside had a slight crispness and the more you chewed, the chewier it got. Toppings matter, but a pizza is only satisfying to finish if the dough itself is good, and both pizzas I had that day had great dough, which made them even more memorable.

## Does Pizza Never Sleeps work as a Songridan-gil date spot?

Songridan-gil has plenty of pretty cafes and small restaurants, but it can actually be tricky to find a space where a group can sit comfortably.

![Table space suitable for groups](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-14-r2tob-900.webp)

Pizza Never Sleeps reportedly has over 50 pyeong (about 165 m²) of space inside, and they have a full drink lineup from soft drinks to beer, soju, and highballs.

![Display of beer and highballs available](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-15-1jyyg-900.webp)

So it's less of a "grab a bite and leave" place and more of a spot where you'd want to have a drink over pizza. Good music, hip space — I think it works well as a Songridan-gil date spot too.

## Parking near Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil

There's no dedicated parking lot for the restaurant. If you're driving, you can use the Songpa Neighborhood Park public parking lot, which is about an 8-minute walk to the restaurant.

![Songridan-gil alley near Songpa Naru Station](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-16-1e3xl-900.webp)

It's not a hard walk from Songpa Naru Station, so I think taking public transit is a bit more convenient if you can. Songridan-gil itself isn't the easiest neighborhood to park in, so if you're driving, I'd recommend saving the public parking lot location beforehand.

## How I would order on a second visit

Since it was my first visit and I was curious about the signature dish, I picked the gochujang minari pork belly pizza, but for someone like me who isn't great with spice, it was hotter than expected.

![Two pizza flavors ordered as a half-and-half](https://img.superchart.com/images/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown/songridangil-pizza-gochujang-minari-corn-brown-17-gcusd-900.webp)

On the other hand, the corn brown, which I picked with zero expectations, was a total match for my taste. The sweet corn flavor of the corn cream paired with the finely sprinkled brown cheese created a sweet-salty combo that wasn't greasy at all. And above all, I loved that crisp-chewy dough.

Next time, I think I'll order corn brown plus one new menu item as a half-and-half. If you're taking a walk around Seokchon Lake and craving a slightly unusual pizza, or if you're just looking for a good spot to eat in Songridan-gil, this place is worth a visit :)
