I heard there was a great hand-patty burger place in Jeonpo-dong, so I went to check it out. That place is Dufftown, located in Jeonpo.

## What we ordered at Dufftown Burger

What we ordered that day was the new cheese skirt burger as part of a set with chili cheese fries and a drink, plus a patty melt and whole mozzarella cheese sticks. The menu board had all kinds of distinctive burgers starting from a basic cheeseburger, so I found myself wanting to come back and try more.

There were more burger varieties than I expected, so I agonized over the menu for a while.

To cut to the chase, everything we ordered that day was delicious overall — I especially loved the cheese skirt burger, while my husband was totally won over by the patty melt.

## The new cheese skirt burger: crispy cheese, juicy patty

Once the food arrived, the first thing that caught my eye was the cheese skirt burger. Cheese spreads out wide around the base of the burger and gets grilled crispy, which gives it a distinctly different feel from a regular cheeseburger.

I took photos and dug right in — the cheese part was crispy and nutty, and really good.

And the patty was much more juicy and tender than I expected. With hand-patty burgers, a thicker patty sometimes means it's a bit dry or chewy, but Dufftown's patty had none of that.

It had real thickness, but when you bit into it, it was soft and juicy, and you could really taste the meat. Personally I think the patty is the most important part of a burger, and since the patty was so good here, the whole burger felt great.

Add the cheese on top and you get an extra nutty, salty layer that made it even better. I especially loved the texture of biting into the crispy cheese and the soft patty together.

## Chili cheese fries that came with the set

When I visit a hand-patty burger place, instead of plain fries I tend to order the kind of cheese- or sauce-topped fries you can only get there, and this time I went straight for the chili cheese fries without hesitation.

With chili and cheese piled on top, the fries had a much richer flavor than eating them plain.

A bite of burger, a bite of chili cheese fries — pretty filling. That said, since both the burger and the fries had cheese, the combo was a bit heavy overall. Still, if you like that kind of flavor, you'll be satisfied.

## What does Dufftown's patty melt taste like?

And then there was the patty melt we ordered alongside.

It's a totally different style from the cheese skirt burger, so I was curious, and it turned out to be delicious too.

The patty comes with cheese and caramelized onions, and the sweetness of the onions added more savory depth than I expected. It was delicious, and the bun was crispy too, giving it that crisp-outside, tender-inside feel.

If the cheese skirt burger's highlight was the crispy cheese, the patty melt's combination of cheese, onion, and patty felt richer and nuttier.

Picking just one was too hard — if you're visiting with a few people, I'd recommend ordering both burgers and sharing!

## Whole mozzarella cheese sticks as a side

We also tried the whole mozzarella cheese sticks we ordered as a side.

Cheese tastes best hot, so we ate them as soon as they arrived — crispy on the outside, with the mozzarella inside stretching out soft and gooey.

If you love cheese, it's hard to pass up a dish like this.

Dipping them deep into the accompanying sauce, I kept eating even though I was already pretty full.

## Is Dufftown worth it for two people?

We tried several menu items at Dufftown this time, and personally what stuck with me most was the moist, tender, juicy patty. Hand-patty burgers can get tiring to eat if the patty is too dry, but here the patty was soft enough that I enjoyed it all the way through. The cheese skirt burger offered a different kind of fun from a regular cheeseburger thanks to the crispy cheese, and the patty melt gave us another flavor entirely with its onion and cheese. On top of that we ordered chili cheese fries and whole mozzarella cheese sticks, so we ended up really full. Ordering a bunch of things to share between two people was great because we got to try so many different items.

A solid place to visit in Jeonpo-dong when you want a hand-patty burger instead of a franchise one ❤️ If you especially love a moist, tender patty, I'd recommend Dufftown's hand-patty burgers. Next time I'll have to try the other burgers I missed this round 🐽
