Bollywood Indian Restaurant, a Gwangalli lunch spot, is located on the second floor of a building on the Gwangalli café street. It's close to Gwangalli Beach too, so it's perfect to visit after a stroll admiring Gwangan Bridge. ## What is the dining room like at Bollywood? Inside, Bollywood has Indian-style decor with Indian music playing. Plus, the owner turned out to actually be from India, so I got even more excited to taste the real thing. ## What comes in the 42,000-won couple set? Bollywood's menu had a huge variety of Indian dishes — curries, naan, kebabs, tandoori chicken, you name it. I was struggling to pick when I noticed they had set menus, haha. The half tandoori chicken in the couple set comes with pickled onions, pickles, lemon, two sauces, and cabbage salad underneath the chicken. The tandoori chicken caught my eye first. Chicken can honestly be a hit or miss dish, right? The spice wasn't as strong as I expected, so it's the kind of flavor anyone could enjoy. No gamey taste at all, just clean and light. When I was deciding which curry to get, they said this was the most classic one, so I went with it. The flavor was completely different from the Ottogi curry we all know. The deep, rich curry flavor paired perfectly with the buttery richness and big chunks of chicken. How did they make it so flavorful and chewy…? Even without dipping it in curry, it was nutty and delicious with no dryness at all. And dipping this naan generously into the butter chicken curry? Need I say more? The chewy naan and the deep, rich curry were a match made in heaven. I guess Indian food just agrees with me. So good. This is the basmati rice. I ordered it out of curiosity, and I was surprised twice — once by the look, once by the taste. Korean rice really is the best. Maybe because of that, there was no sharp seasoning at all — just the natural flavor of the ingredients themselves. It had a slightly thick yogurt taste with nuts on top. It tasted more familiar than I expected, so I enjoyed it, haha. It paired surprisingly well with the curry too.
