## In short

Suwolgyeonghwa is a traditional Korean tea café in Songjeong, Haeundae, Busan, looking out over the sea and the Blue Line beach train. On a fall day off, the writer and her husband tried both the 3rd-floor floor seating and the high-ceilinged 4th floor with its full-height windows, over a warm blended tea and the Dalbodeurae dessert set. Her verdict: the 3rd floor for a quiet rest, the 4th floor if you want the ocean view in full.

Today I came out to Songjeong in Haeundae with my husband, who finally had a day off! The weather's so bright and fall-like that even my mood feels refreshed haha. On days like this there's a café I always go to — the place in Songjeong with the real ocean view, Suwolgyeonghwa.

## Finding Suwolgyeonghwa in Songjeong: parking and the stairs

Suwolgyeonghwa is a café on the 4th floor of a building at 188 Songjeongjungang-ro 6beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea, and with plenty of parking I could park without any worry and head inside.

![Stairway leading up to Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-hanok-tea-cafe-floors/songjeong-oceanview-hanok-tea-cafe-floors-02-1vc3y-966.webp)

Climbing the stairs up to Suwolgyeonghwa, it felt like stepping into a mysterious space — my mind grew calmer and almost reverent! Even though the café is officially on the 4th floor, there are seats set up on the 3rd floor too so you can enjoy the café there. (Ordering is on the 4th floor!)

### The 3rd floor: floor seating and the round window

Starting on the 3rd floor, I took in the Songjeong ocean view through the gorgeous full-length window! Inside, there was also a space where you take off your shoes and relax on the floor.

*Suwolgyeonghwa's 3rd-floor floor seating area*

The Songjeong sea seen through the round window was so pretty — every angle looked like a painting! And scattered around were antique, old-fashioned pieces so precious I couldn't even guess their value — it made me feel reverent all over again...

Suwolgyeonghwa in Songjeong is a place where you can properly enjoy a Songjeong ocean-view café, with the sea and the Blue Line beach train visible all at once — if you're in Busan, I think it's one of the cafés you absolutely have to visit!

## How is the 4th floor different? Ceiling height and full-height windows

Now let's head up to the 4th floor, Suwolgyeonghwa's main space where you order!

![High-ceilinged 4th-floor space at Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-hanok-tea-cafe-floors/songjeong-oceanview-hanok-tea-cafe-floors-07-boxw5-966.webp)

![Wide 4th-floor window and seating arrangement](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-hanok-tea-cafe-floors/songjeong-oceanview-hanok-tea-cafe-floors-08-16hnd-966.webp)

![Traditional décor and tables on Suwolgyeonghwa's 4th floor](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-hanok-tea-cafe-floors/songjeong-oceanview-hanok-tea-cafe-floors-09-qkclq-966.webp)

The ceiling is noticeably higher, and with a bigger, wider window creating a totally different vibe from the 3rd floor, the 4th floor lets you enjoy the ocean view even more clearly and beautifully! If you want a quiet, calm time, go for the 3rd floor... if you want the great view and a livelier mood, I'd recommend the 4th floor.

## Suwolgyeonghwa's menu: blended traditional teas

On the 4th floor, I looked over the antique-style menu board one item at a time, carefully choosing a drink.

True to a café specializing in traditional Korean tea, there were so many different blended teas. Since I ordered Korean-style desserts, I also went with a delicious warm blended tea to go with them.

While waiting for our order, I watched the beach train pass by outside the window and just soaked in the moment!

## What's in the Dalbodeurae set, and how it tastes

Our order came out quickly. Since Suwolgyeonghwa serves Korean-style traditional desserts, it's a great place to try fusion-style traditional sweets you don't normally see. How could I not reach for my camera with a spread like this? 😊

![Suwolgyeonghwa's Dalbodeurae set with a warm tea](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-hanok-tea-cafe-floors/songjeong-oceanview-hanok-tea-cafe-floors-17-51lyt-1200.webp)

Suwolgyeonghwa is a premium tea specialty shop where you can enjoy all kinds of hand-blended teas hot or iced!

The Dalbodeurae set — a harmonious mix of gamtae (seaweed) financier, red bean anbutter monaka, injeolmi (rice cake) skewer, and black rice sulbbang (steamed rice cake) with red bean — was really unique for how many different Korean desserts you get to try at once.

## Why Suwolgyeonghwa is worth a stop on a Busan trip

Honestly, with more and more foreign tourists coming into Busan these days, I found myself wishing Suwolgyeonghwa would be named a must-visit café here! I think experiencing a perfect Busan ocean view alongside Korean-style desserts and blended traditional tea would only make people's impression of Korea even better.

If you're looking for a great café near Haeundae in Busan, come straight to Songjeong! I recommend Suwolgyeonghwa, a place where you can enjoy tasty desserts and tea while watching Busan's beach train go by^^
