It's Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch. I usually love sushi and sashimi, so when I go to a buffet I check the sushi selection first. This time the food quality was better than expected, so I came away pretty satisfied haha. The first thing I noticed walking in was just how spacious it was! With over 300 pyeong of open, comfortable space, the tables were placed with plenty of room, and the bright, relaxed atmosphere meant I never felt cramped while eating. I saw a lot of families visiting too, and because the space itself is so large, it seemed fine to bring young kids along. The staff were all kind as well, so I could eat comfortably without any hassle. What I liked most was that the store is so spacious you can use independent spaces almost like a private booking. Apparently you can book independent spaces for 50, 80, or up to 300 people. So it seemed great not just for family gatherings but also birthday parties, group meetups, and all kinds of events. Usually even when a buffet has salmon, it's often smoked salmon, but interestingly this place had raw salmon sashimi instead of smoked. I really love salmon, so I properly ate my fill that day lol. I kept bringing back thick-cut raw salmon and it made me weirdly happy. I ate it as sushi, as sashimi, went off to eat other things then came back to salmon again... I think I genuinely ate salmon until I was sick of it haha. If you love salmon, I think you'll be pretty satisfied with this part! ## Sushi topped with generous slices of fish Of course, you can't talk about Kuu Kuu without mentioning the sushi! There was a wide variety of sushi prepared, but what I liked most was how fresh the fish was. At most buffets, the freshness or thickness of the fish on sushi can be a bit disappointing. Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had a wide variety of ice cream, so I could fully enjoy dessert too. What especially caught my eye was the little bead-shaped ice cream (Dippin' Dots-style). Seeing it brought back childhood memories lol — with the mindset that dessert has a separate stomach from rice, I grabbed a bunch and enjoyed it. From sushi and sashimi to meat dishes and dessert, there was so much variety that you could basically finish a whole meal here. I tried it and the fish wasn't fishy at all and was fresh, so I kept going back for more of the different kinds haha. Even though it's sushi from a buffet, the quality was solid, which personally satisfied me. It felt like a shame to eat only sushi, so I tried other dishes one by one too. Among them, the lamb chops stood out in my memory. I honestly didn't expect much from lamb chops at a buffet, but they turned out to be more tender and tasty than expected. You could really taste the distinct flavor of lamb, and it wasn't tough at all — it was tender enough that I kept reaching for more. If you keep eating only sushi or sashimi, you can get a little tired of it, but having something like lamb chops in between made for a great combination. The sushi with the generously long slices of fish barely felt like buffet food, which was satisfying, and being able to eat as much raw salmon sashimi as I wanted was great too. The lamb chops were tender and flavorful and stayed in my memory, and at the end I finished off properly full with ice cream and the bead-shaped ice cream too haha. Parking was fine too, with 2 hours free when using the Seoul Ocheon Building parking lot, so it's a good option if you're driving. Just note before you visit that the parking lot entrance is at the back of the building, and if it's full you'll need to use a nearby paid lot on your own! If you're in Nowon and want to eat your fill of sushi and sashimi, love raw salmon, or are looking for a spacious spot to eat with family or a group, this place is worth a visit.
