## In short

Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon is a milmyeon (cold buckwheat noodle) restaurant near Sinpyeong Station in Saha-gu, Busan. Visiting as a pair, the writer ordered a bibim milmyeon + 2 dumplings set and a bibim milmyeon + soy bulgogi set, tasting the tangy-sweet noodles alongside meat-packed dumplings and sweet-savory bulgogi. There's no on-site parking, but the nearby Sinpyeong Station lot kept costs low at ₩800 for 35 minutes.

It was a hot summer, and I'd been on herbal medicine for a while, which meant no wheat-based food for me. The moment I finished the course, the first thing I craved was milmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles).

Since it had been so long, I wanted to eat it somewhere really good, so after some searching I ended up at Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon, a well-known milmyeon spot in Saha-gu.

## A Saha-gu milmyeon spot that's an easy walk from Sinpyeong Station

Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon is right near Sinpyeong Station, so it wasn't hard to find. The restaurant itself has no parking, though, so we left our car at the nearby Sinpyeong Station lot and walked over.

It's close enough that parking and walking there wasn't much of a hassle. When we arrived, there were more people than I expected.

I guess a lot of people look for cool, refreshing milmyeon on hot days. Once inside, the space felt bigger than it looked from outside, and the whole place had a clean, tidy feel.

## Milmyeon menu options and the solo set

Looking at the menu, there was quite a variety of milmyeon — mul milmyeon (broth-based), bibim milmyeon (mixed), mul-bibim milmyeon, spicy milmyeon, and more, so you could pick based on your taste.

![Menu board listing mul milmyeon and bibim milmyeon](https://img.superchart.com/images/sinpyeong-busan-milmyeon-bibim-set/sinpyeong-busan-milmyeon-bibim-set-06-6g9th-900.webp)

Beyond the noodles, there were also several kinds of dumplings — steamed, fried, galbi (rib) dumplings, and more. There was even a solo set menu for people dining alone, which seemed like a nice touch.

We're both fans of bibim milmyeon, so there was no hesitation — we went with that.

We ordered a bibim milmyeon + 2 dumplings set and a bibim milmyeon + soy bulgogi set. Ordering two different sets meant we got to try the noodles plus dumplings and bulgogi together, which was great.

## Self-serve broth, radish kimchi, and even baby spoons

While waiting, warm broth arrived first. Taking that first sip of broth is one of the small pleasures of visiting a milmyeon place, isn't it?

![Warm milmyeon broth served first](https://img.superchart.com/images/sinpyeong-busan-milmyeon-bibim-set/sinpyeong-busan-milmyeon-bibim-set-08-kyvf9-900.webp)

We each took a sip — it was savory and easy to drink without feeling heavy. You didn't even need to ask staff for it; you could freely help yourself at the self-serve bar.

If you love broth, feel free to go grab more from the self-serve bar. Looking around it, I also noticed baby spoons were available.

That would make it convenient for families visiting with young kids. The radish kimchi that pairs with milmyeon was also self-serve.

## Bright red bibim milmyeon with a drop of vinegar tang

Finally, the bibim milmyeon we'd been waiting for arrived. The moment I saw the bright red sauce coating the bowl, my mouth started watering.

It felt even more special since it had been so long since I'd had milmyeon. I mixed the sauce evenly through the noodles and took a bite — the spicy-sweet sauce that's signature to bibim milmyeon blended beautifully with the noodles.

I added a little vinegar, and the tang really woke up my palate. Eating bibim milmyeon this way, with that extra sourness, really suits my taste.

One cool, refreshing bite on a hot day, and all that longing from going without wheat noodles melted away instantly.

## Dumplings packed with filling — a perfect match for bibim milmyeon

We also tried the dumplings we'd ordered alongside. Cutting one in half revealed a generous amount of meat inside.

Eating milmyeon nonstop, you start craving something different halfway through, and having a dumpling alongside made for a great combo. Especially paired with the tangy-sweet sauce of the bibim milmyeon, the contrasting flavors kept us reaching for more.

If you're a dumpling lover, ordering them alongside your milmyeon seems like a great idea.

## How was the soy bulgogi set?

We also tried the soy bulgogi that came with the other set. The sweet soy sauce coating the bulgogi made for another delicious bite.

![Soy bulgogi included in the set](https://img.superchart.com/images/sinpyeong-busan-milmyeon-bibim-set/sinpyeong-busan-milmyeon-bibim-set-19-12uhn-900.webp)

Ordering soy bulgogi alongside made for a much heartier meal than milmyeon alone. If you're visiting as a pair like us, ordering different sets to share — bibim milmyeon plus dumplings and soy bulgogi — seems like a great strategy for trying a bit of everything.

## Milmyeon that tasted even better after going without

Having gone without wheat-based food for a while and heading straight to a milmyeon place the moment my herbal medicine ended, this meal really hit the spot.

![Full spread of bibim milmyeon, dumplings, and soy bulgogi](https://img.superchart.com/images/sinpyeong-busan-milmyeon-bibim-set/sinpyeong-busan-milmyeon-bibim-set-21-1vszu-900.webp)

Between the appetite-boosting bright red bibim milmyeon, the meat-packed dumplings, and the sweet soy bulgogi, we got to enjoy a nice variety between the two of us.

The restaurant was clean, and having broth, radish, and baby spoons ready at the self-serve bar made things easy. Plus, being close to Sinpyeong Station made it convenient to get to.

If you're looking for a cool, tangy-sweet milmyeon spot in Saha-gu on a hot day, a bowl of bibim milmyeon at Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon is worth a try. Having gone without milmyeon for so long, it tasted even better to us. :)

## Where to park? Sinpyeong Station lot rates

Since Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon doesn't have its own parking, if you're driving like we did, you'll need to use a nearby lot.

![Entrance to the Sinpyeong Station parking lot](https://img.superchart.com/images/sinpyeong-busan-milmyeon-bibim-set/sinpyeong-busan-milmyeon-bibim-set-22-2d6kj-900.webp)

We parked at the Sinpyeong Station lot. The rate is ₩1,200 per hour, or ₩200 per 10 minutes.

![Sign showing Sinpyeong Station parking rates](https://img.superchart.com/images/sinpyeong-busan-milmyeon-bibim-set/sinpyeong-busan-milmyeon-bibim-set-23-8eh9y-900.webp)

We parked for about 35 minutes while eating, and the fee came to ₩800. Charging by 10-minute increments was a nice touch. If your meal doesn't take too long, the parking cost shouldn't be much of a burden — worth keeping in mind.
