## Looking for a bar with good atmosphere near Euljiro 3-ga Station

It had been a while since I'd met someone special for a relaxed dinner. I've always liked the alleys of Euljiro, so this time I looked for somewhere with especially good atmosphere too. Rather than somewhere loud and busy, I wanted a cozy space where we could actually talk comfortably over food.

That's how I found Hey Jinny in Euljiro. Following the alley near Euljiro 3-ga Station, it felt like discovering a slightly hidden spot. Climbing the stairs up, I couldn't help wondering what kind of atmosphere was waiting.

Opening the door, the warm lighting and charming interior made a great first impression right away. It reminded me of once stumbling on a café I loved while wandering the Euljiro alleys on another date. Maybe that's why this time too, I naturally wanted to enjoy a nice dinner and then take a slow walk through the Euljiro alleys afterward.

Hey Jinny is on the second floor, so you have to climb a staircase to get there. Blending with the distinctive alley atmosphere of Euljiro, even the process of finding it was oddly fun.

Arriving at the front, the place gave off a clean yet emotive feel, and the vibe only got better once we stepped inside.

The lighting was soft and warm throughout, and posters and small decor pieces scattered around made it fun to just look around the space.

Being small-scale actually meant less chaos and a calmer place to eat. The tables were spaced comfortably too, good for sitting across from each other and talking. It suited the kind of date where you want to eat slowly and chat rather than rush through the food.

At Hey Jinny you can find everything from Western dishes to fusion-style cooking. There's also drinks that pair well with the food, so it's a good spot to handle dinner and drinks in one go.

That night we ordered the Osaka niboshi shrimp oil pasta, eoxianggaji, and a mojito highball together. With this combination, we could take a bite of pasta, a sip of highball, a bite of eggplant, another sip — a nice, unhurried way to eat.

It had a distinctive flavor quite different from a typical oil pasta, which made it fun to eat. Salty yet savory, it kept us reaching for more noodles. The subtle seafood flavor also paired really well with the highball.

Familiar pasta is great, but on days when you want something a bit different, this style is a solid choice. We were so busy chatting that the plate was nearly empty before we knew it.

This version was crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the texture contrast was fun. The sauce complemented the eggplant's mild, clean flavor nicely.

It wasn't too strong or heavy, more the kind of dish that's easy to eat alongside other food — good for pairing between bites of pasta. The batter especially stayed crispy from the first bite to the last.

If you're a fan of eggplant dishes, this one is likely to be a welcome surprise. It had a totally different feel from the pasta, so I was glad we ordered both.

So we ordered the mojito highball, and its refreshing feel was really pleasant.

Most of all, holding a glass and talking slowly in such an atmospheric space made an ordinary evening feel a bit special. Rather than dropping by just to drink quickly, it felt like a spot to linger over good food and a drink.

## Is Hey Jinny a good evening date course in Euljiro?

Overall, time at Hey Jinny passed in a really comfortable way. The soft lighting kept the space feeling warm, and we could enjoy each dish slowly, one at a time. Most of all, the atmosphere suited eating while talking.

Euljiro is also great for continuing a date afterward, since you can stroll the alleys slowly after eating. We did just that, walking the Euljiro alleys after our meal and chatting about the food we'd just had. Rather than parting right after a good meal, walking around nearby for a while made the evening stick in memory even longer.

On a day when I wanted a relaxed evening date in Euljiro, Hey Jinny delivered a pretty satisfying time. From the cozy, intimate atmosphere to the distinctive menu lineup, the overall combination worked well.

The Osaka niboshi shrimp oil pasta in particular stood out for its umami, different from a typical oil pasta. The eoxianggaji was great as a side thanks to its crispy texture. And with the mojito highball alongside, dinner became even more enjoyable.

If you're looking for a quiet spot to talk while dating in Euljiro, this kind of atmosphere is worth considering. After the meal, you can also walk the Euljiro alleys to close out the day, which is why this stuck with me as a memorable evening date course. Next time I visit, I'd like to try the other menu items I missed this time.
