## In short

Dotdot Milyang Main Branch is a fire-grilled pork restaurant on Mireobeol-jungang-ro in Milyang, Gyeongnam. The order was three servings of kkodeulsal (chewy pork belly cut) and one of galmaegisal (pork skirt meat), paired with wild greens barley rice and kimchi mari guksu (chilled noodles in kimchi broth), and the meljeot (fermented anchovy dipping sauce) and olive kimchi stood out as unusual touches. The wild greens barley rice at Dotdot is generous and worth ordering every time, while the kimchi noodle bowl felt small for its size.

## Where to park at Dotdot Milyang Main Branch

Dotdot Milyang Main Branch doesn't offer parking support. There's a paid lot right next to Dotdot, and a bigger free lot nearby if you go around the playground.

We actually parked at the paid lot first, then moved once we spotted the free one. The paid lot definitely has more spaces, but the free lot's open area is pretty wide too, so it's worth looking around.

It was just past 6pm on a weekend and the place was quiet, so I thought maybe it was new and not well known yet... but nope, haha, we had just come early. Seats filled up in no time and people started waiting.

## Dotdot Milyang menu and prices

Dotdot Special (600g) is ₩48,000. It looked like a lot for most people, but my husband said he wasn't that hungry, so we tried ordering à la carte instead.

![Menu board with prices for individual pork cuts](https://img.superchart.com/images/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles-05-19brw-650.webp)

![Menu board for ogyeopsal, kkodeulsal, galmaegisal, and hangjeongsal](https://img.superchart.com/images/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles-06-157ta-650.webp)

Ogyeopsal (five-layer pork belly), kkodeulsal (pork jowl meat), and galmaegisal (skirt meat) are all ₩9,000 for 120g, and hangjeongsal (pork jowl) is ₩12,000 for 120g. Oddly, there's no regular samgyeopsal (pork belly) or mokssal (pork neck) haha.

For sides to go with the meat, there's wild greens bibimbap, tiger bean doenjang stew, kimchi noodle soup, green onion kimchi ramyeon stew, cheese pollack roe egg steam, and pollack roe mayo rice. A bit different from your typical grill house menu, right?

## Banchan, dipping sauces and the vegetable self-serve bar

For basic banchan, Dotdot Milyang serves salad, kimchi, and olive kimchi. Also very unusual haha. You're starting to get a feel for what kind of place this is, right?

![Basic banchan of cabbage salad, kimchi, and olive kimchi](https://img.superchart.com/images/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles-08-bx07w-650.webp)

The cabbage salad has anchovies on top, but you don't really taste much fish flavor. The olive kimchi is also so unique haha.

![Sesame oil sauce with garlic](https://img.superchart.com/images/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles-09-wpcl4-650.webp)

Sesame oil sauce with garlic — they know their stuff. Take the garlic out once it's cooked just right. We ended up burning ours haha.

The melt (fermented anchovy sauce) is amazing. So many grill places serve melt these days, but this was the best one I've had.

![Salt, wasabi, jeotgal, and ssamjang sauce set](https://img.superchart.com/images/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles-11-bjr7d-650.webp)

Salt, wasabi, various jeotgal (salted seafood), and ssamjang (dipping sauce) all come out together. And you're wondering why there are no vegetables at a grill place, right?

![Vegetable self-serve bar with lettuce, perilla leaves, and cabbage](https://img.superchart.com/images/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles-12-1x94u-650.webp)

Turns out the vegetables are right there at the self-serve bar. Not just lettuce and perilla leaves — there's cabbage, chili peppers, and carrots too.

We ordered three servings of kkodeulsal, one serving of galmaegisal, wild greens barley rice, and kimchi noodle soup. I thought grilling would be a table-side service, but nope haha.

## Kkodeulsal vs galmaegisal: which cut tastes better?

First up, kkodeulsal. It's apparently from the back of the pig's head. No wonder it reminded me of eating at a dwitgogi (back-cut pork) place before.

The fat has a firm structure, which gives it that chewy, springy texture. My daughter never eats fat, but for some reason she loves kkodeulsal fat haha. It pairs so well with the melt sauce — really delicious.

![A grilled piece of kkodeulsal](https://img.superchart.com/images/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles-15-aiufe-650.webp)

This is the galmaegisal. Kkodeulsal was 3 servings and this was 1 serving, but they looked about the same size — is that just me? Ah, it's because the plates are different sizes haha. It's definitely a totally different texture from kkodeulsal, a bit softer.

## Wild greens barley rice and kimchi noodle soup at Dotdot

Please, please try the wild greens barley rice. It's so good. I didn't add much gochujang (chili paste) since the kids were eating too, but it wasn't bland at all even without much gochujang. The portion of rice was really generous, and we finished it in no time.

![Kimchi noodle soup topped with oisobagi](https://img.superchart.com/images/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles/dotdot-miryang-side-dishes-bibimbap-noodles-20-lyfl7-650.webp)

The kimchi noodle soup was also amazing. It cuts through the greasiness of the meat perfectly, and it's sweet, salty, and refreshing — you just slurp it right down. The oisobagi (stuffed cucumber kimchi) is a key point too haha. Though the portion felt a bit skimpy for the size of the bowl, which was a shame.

Ate our fill of meat and wrapped up the day~~ There's nothing that makes a mom happier than watching meat go into her kids' mouths haha. Next time I'll try the special menu.
