## A place to have lunch with a baby near Pocheon Art Valley

Are you wondering where to have lunch with a baby when you visit Pocheon Art Valley or take a trip nearby? Our twin family often takes weekend outings around Pocheon, but there are surprisingly few restaurants around here where you can comfortably bring a baby, so we always deliberate. 😭 Most places are barbecue restaurants, but our twins are only 28 months old—too curious to sit still for long, and when there’s a grill, there’s just too much to keep an eye on.

But this time, we found a restaurant serving makguksu (buckwheat noodles), buckwheat dumplings, and tteokgalbi (Korean grilled meat patties)—just right for feeding the kids—so we went with my older sister and her husband! It’s Myeongimong (명이몽) in Pocheon.

We stopped by after visiting Pof Insect Theme Park in Pocheon, and to give you the conclusion first: we were completely satisfied! This is a place I’m 200% willing to revisit.

## What we ordered at Myeongimong and my honest taste review

What we ordered: two bowls of bibim makguksu (₩10,000 each), mul makguksu (₩10,000), charcoal-grilled pork tteokgalbi (₩13,000), and buckwheat dumplings (₩7,000) / ₩49,000 total. (An honest review because my brother-in-law treated us! haha)

### Charcoal-grilled pork tteokgalbi

You can choose the amount of rice, so we ordered a generous portion. My niece ate her fill, and my brother-in-law neatly finished what was left.

### Buckwheat dumplings

We each shared one, and they were really generously filled.

### Bibim makguksu

My sister says it tastes like the mildly sweet, not-too-intense noodles her grandmother used to make—a nostalgic flavor. It’s perfect for anyone who dislikes food that is simply salty, spicy, and sweet.

### Mul makguksu

We asked for the seasoning sauce on the side so we could share it with the children!

## Tips for sharing mul makguksu with 28-month-old twins

I first lifted out the mul makguksu noodles, diluted them slightly with water, and put them in the twins’ cups. They found it much easier to hold and eat from paper cups than from wide bowls! While all the adults were still eating, our younger twin slurped up even the broth—such an incredible noodle lover—and expertly finished every last drop. 🤣

After serving the children, I added the seasoning sauce and tasted just one sip of the broth. It was so delicious that I immediately thought, “Ah! We’re definitely coming back here.”

The buckwheat pancake served as a basic side dish was especially ideal for our twins, who are eating a low-sodium diet, so I broke some off for them right away. Maybe because it was their first buckwheat pancake, but sadly, they wouldn’t eat it. How could they not understand a mother’s desire to feed them something this good... 😭 In the end, the adults happily ate it all. A buckwheat pancake as a complimentary side dish is truly the best!

The restaurant is quite new, so it was very clean. The tables are spaced far apart, making it comfortable to visit with a stroller or children without feeling self-conscious. They have high chairs, children’s forks, and children’s spoons.

## A twin mom’s final verdict

I can confidently recommend this to anyone looking for places to take children in Pocheon or good restaurants in Pocheon! Honestly, I would not come all the way to Pocheon for this place alone; instead, pair it with Art Valley or a nearby attraction for lunch, and you won’t find a better option.
