## Where is Nani Yeouido Branch?

Nani Yeouido Branch is on the third floor of the S-TRENUE Building directly in front of Exit 3 of Yeouido Station. I took the escalator up, where the Japanese-style sign and charming entrance caught my eye.

I had previously come in the evening but left because it was full. This time, I sat at a window-side table with my party and enjoyed food and drinks.

## Was the room-style seating comfortable for conversation?

When I stepped inside, I liked the open feel. The lighting was soft and the interior was neat.

I could eat while looking toward Yeouido Station. I thought it would also be nice to eat while looking at the night view outside.

What I liked most was that the seats were divided into room-style sections. With each table separated, I could talk comfortably with my party without paying much attention to the tables beside us. I felt it would suit a date, a small gathering, or a company dinner.

At our window-side table, we could have a drink while looking outside. There was also plenty of space between tables, so it was comfortable to sit with our belongings.

## What food and drinks did I order?

The menu was varied, from skewers to fried dishes and cooked dishes. It included lamb ribs, pork and mung bean sprout stir-fry, assorted sashimi, black pepper shrimp, butter garlic shrimp, and karaage (Japanese fried chicken). There was also mochi tofu (soft, chewy tofu) as a sweet option. There were several kinds of highballs and sake as well.

After some thought, I chose the lamb ribs and lemon cream shrimp. I ordered Cass draft beer and cola to drink, and since they arrived before the food, I took a sip of the cold beer first.

## What did the lemon cream shrimp taste like?

The lemon cream shrimp arrived shortly after the drinks. Plump shrimp were generously topped with cream sauce.

A subtle lemon aroma kept it refreshing to the end. The shrimp were substantial, and I liked the fried coating so much that the plate was quickly empty as I kept picking up one piece at a time. Even with the cream sauce, it did not feel too rich for my taste.

## How were the texture and aroma of the lamb ribs?

The lamb ribs came in three large pieces, which I cut up before eating. They were browned on the outside and moist inside.

When I ate them, I did not notice the distinctive odor sometimes associated with lamb. Basil and a spice blend to sprinkle over the lamb came with it, and dipping it in the accompanying sauce added more flavor. It also went well with the Cass draft beer.

My party was also happy with the food on this visit. I would like to return on a day when I want to have a drink and talk at a partitioned table, and next time I would like to try the skewers I did not get to have this time.
