I wrapped the nicely browned pork in ssam (lettuce wraps) with garlic, and the nutty, clean flavors went together so well. Piling plenty of the scallion salad onto a piece of pork made the tart flavor pair beautifully with the savory pork, so I kept reaching for more. And the basic doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), which would be missed with a meat meal, was bubbling away too! A spoonful of stew between bites of meat made me feel full and happy right through to the end of the meal. Above all, I loved that this was a good place to visit with kids.
