At first I thought it might be a fancy Korean restaurant, but it turns out it's actually a jokbal (braised pig's trotters) spot?? Order a set menu and you also get handmade fruit mak-guksu (buckwheat noodles) and chamnamul-chive pancake, so it's super filling! I was curious about both the original jokbal and the chive fire jokbal, so I ordered the Cheongmi half-and-half jokbal (₩53,000) to go. The staff serving me were also super friendly and the atmosphere was really great, making it a perfect spot for a family dinner or a work gathering! It took over 20 minutes to get from Cheongmigwan to my house, but I still got to eat warm jokbal. The original jokbal has a proper, savory herbal aroma, and the chive fire jokbal's spicy smoky flavor is pure healing therapy.. The side dishes were chive namul, pickled chili, dried radish strips, pickled radish, chili peppers, garlic, ssamjang (dipping sauce), and salted shrimp! Just the essentials, which I really appreciated..!! Both looked so good I had a happy dilemma over what to eat first! I've always thought the bone-in jokbal was a bit of a hassle to pick apart and the lean meat was the best, but Cheongmigwan's bone-in jokbal was also amazing... The meat was bouncy and packed full of the fire jokbal seasoning—totally addictive.. The meat on the bone was also really substantial!! I ate every last bit happily👍👍👍👍👍 ## Is Cheongmigwan Sejong Naseong Main Branch worth it? If you're looking for a great jokbal restaurant in Sejong, Cheongmigwan won't disappoint! You can enjoy it warm even as takeout, and the interior is so nice that I'd highly recommend it for a family dinner or a date spot too!
