The inside was super clean, and when we ordered pork belly, mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) and codari-gui (grilled dried pollock) came out as side dishes. The sign was lit up brightly so it was easy to spot at a glance. It seemed like mostly family dinners and older customers. There were reserved seat signs, so there must have been a group booking. Looking at it, the stew wasn't red-seasoned but looked like pure doenjang, so I thought it might be a bit bland — but nope!!!!! It was spicy-savory, clean, and amazing. Everyone should definitely try the doenjang stew!!!! Everyone, when you scoop out the rice to make nurungji (scorched rice), try adding doenjang stew instead of broth. I was glad we came early — today's dinner out was a success. If you're looking for a solid Korean BBQ restaurant in Sejong, I highly recommend Chung-sil Hoegwan! There's a reason so many older customers eat here.
