Today I went looking for a good bossam spot in Sejong after a while, and I'd read reviews saying Cheongmigwan is delicious even as takeout, so I went straight over to pick some up! It's been a while since I had bossam, so here's my very happy review haha

This Sejong restaurant, Cheongmigwan, is in the Narijae Village 5-danji shopping complex. The sign is big so it's easy to spot. The complex parking lot is spacious so parking is easy — it's free, so you can just drive out afterward. Both dine-in and takeout can be reserved through Naver. It gets busy during peak times, so I'd recommend booking ahead.

## The dining hall while I waited for my order

I made a takeout reservation and arrived right at the 4pm opening time. While waiting, I took a quick look around the dining hall. It's a pork hock and bossam restaurant, but honestly it felt really upscale. There are lots of tables and plenty of space, so it seems great for gatherings or work dinners too. The staff were also very kind and well-mannered.

## The menu and what I ordered

Here's Cheongmigwan's menu board. It's placed out front, so you can actually check it out as you walk by, which is nice. There's a pork hock menu, tofu-kimchi bossam, half-and-half pork hock, and more. You can choose single, set, or combo portions. There are also sides like makguksu (buckwheat noodles) and rice balls. With such a varied menu, it's easy to find what you want.

I ordered the tofu-kimchi bossam single set for takeout. Since I'd reserved ahead and arrived on time, it was ready quickly.

4pm turns out to be exactly when the bossam comes out fresh, so I got it piping hot. The tastiest possible timing >< They packed it in a shopping bag, and even that had Cheongmigwan's classy style haha

## What was in the tofu-kimchi bossam takeout set

I opened it up as soon as I got home. Even though it's a single set, it was packed full with everything from side dishes to bossam. The packaging was so careful that there was no issue even after the drive.

There was a generous amount of lettuce and perilla leaves for wrapping, bossam kimchi, chives, pickled radish, a chili side dish, ssamjang (Korean dipping sauce), and even garlic. I tried the side dishes and they were delicious! True to its name, the tofu-kimchi bossam's bossam kimchi was genuinely amazing. The other side dishes were also generous in portion and tasty.

Here's the main event — the tofu and bossam!! Wow, it was seriously generous 😮 Since it was freshly made bossam and tofu, it looked even more appetizing.

### Even a hot pack in the packaging — still warm at home

There was a hot pack placed under the bossam. It was packaged so warmly that it hadn't gone cold even by the time I got it home. The tofu was really warm too. This is the first place I've seen put this much thought into packaging.

Looking at it like this, it really does look delicious. My family had it with rice at home. (Next time I should try ordering the makguksu noodles too.)

## How it tasted — the bossam, side dishes, and tofu

It's bossam that's delicious even wrapped in lettuce. I ate the bossam by itself, wrapped with the various side dishes. You could really tell the wrap vegetables were fresh.

Personally, this radish-based side dish was my favorite. It's great with bossam wrapped in pickled radish, or eaten together with the chive salad and garlic.

Since it's called tofu-kimchi bossam, the tofu and kimchi were genuinely delicious too. The tofu was really soft. The kimchi truly tasted like proper bossam kimchi, so eating all three together was truly the best combination haha

### Is the single set enough for three people?

There was so much bossam that even eating it with rice and tofu, there was still bossam left over for the three of us haha (of course, we finished it because it was so good..!) We had a really hearty, filling meal.

My family doesn't really eat meat with a lot of fat. So Cheongmigwan's bossam was exactly our family's style. Since it's lean-meat-focused, I think it was even more delicious. Not dry at all, soft, and combined with the tofu, kimchi, and all the side dishes, it was such a satisfying meal at this Sejong restaurant, Cheongmigwan!
