## In short

Bapkkot Hansang is a Korean restaurant in Eojin-dong, Sejong, serving neat Korean set courses and individual dishes. I tried the ₩50,000 Bapkkot Special for two, which arrived in two rounds with tteokgalbi and gangdoenjang, then refilled the omija tea twice. Verdict: a place I’d gladly return to for a family meal or dinner with my parents.

## Bapkkot Hansang by Sejong Lake Park: location and waiting

Bapkkot Hansang (밥꽃한상) is on the second floor of the Sejong March building, in front of Sejong Government Complex Buildings 1 and 2.

As you’d expect from a place known as a favorite among civil servants, there tends to be a wait during peak hours. There are waiting seats right in front of the restaurant, so waiting is comfortable!

I visited around 7 p.m. on a weekend and there was a wait (you write your name on the list). If you have plans, I recommend making a Naver reservation before you go!

## Indoor seating and post-meal omija tea

The whole interior was clean and tidy, and the tables were spaced generously enough to make for a comfortable meal.

There is also group seating for around eight people, so it seems perfect for a family meal or gathering.

By the entrance, there are snacks and omija tea (five-flavor berry tea) set out for dessert. The tea is sweet and tangy, so it is wonderful after a meal. I had it refilled twice.

There is Wi-Fi and a baby chair too, so make use of them if you need them.

## Bapkkot Special for two: the first course

The Bapkkot Special is a set course, and the food comes out over two rounds. Even the first course filled the entire table generously.

Looking at each item in detail, one side had hearty dishes such as bossam (boiled pork wraps), seasoned minari, seasoned mushrooms, and buchujeon (garlic chive pancake).

![Hearty Bapkkot Special accompaniments](https://img.superchart.com/images/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course-13-2kfha-900.webp)

On the other side were lighter accompaniments, including tofu kimchi, salad, and royal tteokbokki. The buckwheat noodles were nutty and mild—just right for waking up the appetite.

![Warmly served Bapkkot Special dishes](https://img.superchart.com/images/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course-16-1sh66-900.webp)

There were not simply lots of dishes; every single one was flavorful and warm as though freshly made. You could really feel the care that went into it.

## The main meal with tteokgalbi and gangdoenjang

![Six side dishes served before the main meal](https://img.superchart.com/images/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course-17-17pwe-900.webp)

After enjoying the first course, six kinds of banchan (Korean side dishes) for the main meal were set out. Cucumber, seasoned deodeok root, kimchi, and namul were all perfect to eat alongside it.

![Main spread with tteokgalbi, cheonggukjang, and doenjang stew](https://img.superchart.com/images/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course-18-1ionm-1200.webp)

For the main dishes, there was tteokgalbi, cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew), and doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew)—a combination any Korean would probably love 👍

![Two pieces of Bapkkot Special tteokgalbi](https://img.superchart.com/images/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course-19-1v8vs-900.webp)

Two large pieces of tteokgalbi came with the set. And for reference, participating in the review event gets you one additional piece!

![Moist and tender tteokgalbi](https://img.superchart.com/images/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course-20-1y96b-900.webp)

The tteokgalbi was moist and tender, with the meat flavor coming through more with every bite. Its seasoning was nicely sweet and savory, making it a perfect match with rice, as expected. A real rice thief, I have to admit.

Bapkkot Hansang’s signature gangdoenjang (thick soybean paste stew), simmered slowly.

![Bapkkot Hansang’s two-round Korean set in Eojin-dong, Sejong](https://img.superchart.com/images/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course-21-bco32-900.webp)

It was packed with shiitake and king oyster mushrooms, potato, green onion, and chili peppers. The deep soybean-paste flavor combined with the vegetables’ savory taste for a wonderfully earthy and salty dish.

Mixed into rice, it was so satisfying and filling. They even served it in an intentionally large bowl for mixing in the gangdoenjang—such a thoughtful touch!

![Earthy, clean-tasting homemade soybean paste soup](https://img.superchart.com/images/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course/sejong-eojindong-bapkkot-hansang-course-23-1du9s-900.webp)

The doenjang soup had the deep flavor of homemade soybean paste, while its broth was clean and refreshing—really delicious. It was not overpowering, yet I kept reaching for it!

## My overall take after this tidy Korean spread

Bapkkot Hansang was not just a Korean set-meal restaurant with a lot of menu items; every dish was flavorful and felt thoughtfully made. The seasoning was mild overall and easy to enjoy, and sampling such a variety of dishes made for a thoroughly satisfying meal.

The atmosphere was comfortable and the food was beautifully arranged, making this seem like a great place for a family meal or to bring your parents! I’d like to come back with my parents next time :)
