## In short

Gome Mui Songpa Munjeong is a pot rice and tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet) restaurant on B1 of Tera Tower near Munjeong Station in Songpa, Seoul. Visiting with two children, one with an egg allergy, the writer asked for the egg on the side with the steak pot rice and doubled the steak, then shared a spring herb wild sea bream pot rice and hire katsu, using the 90 minutes of free parking at Tera Tower. Gome Mui's dishes are easy to split, making it a solid choice for a family meal out with kids.

Today I'm sharing a review of a Munjeong Station favorite I enjoyed with my kids — Gome Mui Songpa Munjeong! When eating out with kids, it matters whether there's something they can eat, but us adults need to enjoy the meal too, right?

## Gome Mui Songpa Munjeong hours and why we went

Gome Mui Songpa Munjeong is open Monday to Saturday 11:00–21:00, and Sundays 11:00–15:00. After watching a movie at Megabox Songpa Park Habio over the weekend, we were looking for a nearby spot for a family meal and ended up at Gome Mui Songpa Munjeong. They have a wide variety of pot rice dishes plus tonkatsu, so it was a great choice to visit with the kids.

## Where is Gome Mui near Munjeong Station, and is there parking?

📍 Gome Mui Songpa Munjeong location & parking

It's located inside Tera Tower in Munjeong-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, so it's easy to get to from Munjeong Station, and if you drive, you can use the Tera Tower parking lot. Best of all, 90 minutes of free parking is available. Parking is always a bit stressful when you're moving around with two kids, so it was nice to worry less about that and just enjoy the meal.

Since it can get busy around lunchtime, I'd recommend checking the hours, any break time, and whether there's a wait before you visit.

## Inside Gome Mui: atmosphere and seating

Gome Mui Songpa Munjeong has an open kitchen and a clean wood-tone interior, giving the whole space a tidy, well-organized feel.

It didn't feel like a hassle to bring the kids along, so it was a comfortable place for the whole family to eat together. There are also window seats for solo diners, so you can eat there comfortably on your own too.

Just so you know, this is the portion for our steak pot rice with the steak doubled ^^

## Steak pot rice with the egg on the side and steak doubled

We ordered the steak pot rice to share with the kids. We were going to get curry but it was sold out 😭 so disappointing... We ordered the steak pot rice partly because our son can't eat tonkatsu.

Looking at the photo, egg was placed on top, so I asked for it to be served separately, and after giving the kids their portions, I mixed in the egg I'd set aside and tried it myself. (My son has an egg allergy 😭)

It looked so appetizing coming out piping hot in the pot. I portioned out the steak and rice in kid-friendly sizes, and they ate better than expected, which made me really happy. When eating out with kids, even if you order just one dish, it matters that there's something each of them can eat, and this steak pot rice was great for sharing with them.

## The tonkatsu at Gome Mui

My husband ordered the tonkatsu. I got a pot rice with added hire katsu (breaded pork tenderloin cutlet)!

I usually prefer hire katsu over rosu katsu, and it was crispy outside, juicy inside — pretty good. With the kids splitting the pot rice and tonkatsu, I felt like we'd picked the menu well.

## Spring herb wild sea bream pot rice

I ordered the sea bream pot rice. While making sure the kids had something to eat, I got to pick the pot rice I actually wanted.

With sea bream on top, the pot rice had a light, clean flavor, and eaten with the warm rice, it made for a filling meal.

The rice itself was nutty and light, so it worked well for eating with the kids too, and the crispy rice stuck to the bottom of the pot was a nice treat at the end, like nurungji (scorched rice).
