So this time too, while scouting for a place that would work well with the baby, we visited Sanchaega Hanjeongsik Meokgol Main Branch near Meokgol Station~! It had banchan (side dishes) ranging from namul (seasoned greens) to fish that we could portion out for the baby, and we ourselves got to eat a hearty home-cooked-style meal after a long time, which left us really satisfied. Let me share how it went with the baby, and the menu we ate, one by one :)

If you make a reservation in advance through Naver at Sanchaega Hanjeongsik Meokgol Main Branch, the banchan is already set up at your table. We visited around 8pm on a weekday evening.

Since we'd made a reservation on Naver beforehand, the banchan was already set up at our table when we arrived.

So this part was really convenient and nice.

Especially since the cauldron rice is cooked fresh to order, which takes a bit of time, I really recommend making a Naver reservation if you're going with a baby!!

## Is there a baby chair and baby spoons?

There wasn't a separate baby chair at Sanchaega Meokgol Main Branch ㅠㅠ Instead, there was a chair like a bumbo seat that buckles onto a regular chair, and we used that. I thought it would be too small, but thankfully it fit our 24-month-old with plenty of room.

Baby spoons were provided, so we didn't need to bring our own.

What we ordered was Sanchaega's black rice sweet potato cauldron special set, ₩18,000 per person, available for orders of 2 or more people. Their signature dish here is gondre-bap (Korean thistle rice), but since we were eating with the baby,

gondre seemed like it would be hard for the baby to eat, so we chose a different menu instead. So we ordered the black rice sweet potato cauldron special set.

so we got a full table of cauldron rice, banchan, and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew).

## Food we scarfed down until our minds went blank

Sanchaega's banchan overall wasn't heavily seasoned or spicy, just seasoned right for easy eating, so it was comfortable to eat without any burden.

My husband kept saying "this is good, this is really good" the whole time he was eating hahaha.

Most of the banchan we could feed the baby had some seasoning on it, so we were a bit worried,

but the grilled flounder was the savior in that situation. We flaked the grilled flounder and gave it to her with rice, and the baby polished off a whole bowl of rice haha. As a mom, I felt so proud🥹

## MVP of the day: doenjang jjigae

What we enjoyed the most at Sanchaega that day was, without a doubt, the doenjang jjigae~! Honestly, doenjang jjigae is such a common dish you can find at any Korean restaurant,

but the one here had a flavor that kept pulling my spoon back for more.

Especially at the end, when we ate the savory nurungji (scorched rice), we scooped spoonfuls of doenjang jjigae to go with it, and that combination was so delicious that we cleaned our plates to the very end haha.

## The moment my husband was quietly moved

While we were eating, every single customer who paid and left said "thank you for the meal" on their way out.

Hearing that, my husband said, "This place is the real deal." It seemed to leave a strong impression on him, seeing all the customers greet the staff on their way out.

Listening beside him, I also thought they must have eaten really well, which made me trust the place even more haha.

## Kind to the very end

When we paid, the kind owner (the husband) gave us nutrient gummies.

It might seem like a small thing, but eating a hearty meal and getting gummies on the way out made for a happy end to the meal ha.

Parking is available for about 2 cars each in front and behind the building.

But when we visited, there were no spots available, so we briefly parked in front of a closed storefront on the main road while we ate. This part could be a bit inconvenient. Since it's close to Meokgol Station, taking public transportation is also a good option.
