## In short

Bulmak Yeolsam Sajik is a Korean BBQ restaurant near Sajik Station and Sajik Baseball Stadium in Dongnae, Busan. We ordered three servings of kkodeulsal (chewy pork skirt) and a small beef tripe hot pot, tried the owner's recommended combo of cheese and condensed milk, and even got soju with hammer-made slush ice. With rooms and group seating for up to 20, it's a solid pick for gatherings and drinking sessions in one place.

Today I want to share a story about some delicious meat I had in Sajik-dong, Busan. This time I visited Bulmak Yeolsam Sajik, which is located near Sajik Station, so it's easy to get to, and the restaurant is spacious, making it great for group visits or gatherings.

It's also close to Sajik Baseball Stadium, so it's a good spot to stop by before or after a game. Whether you want a hearty meal of meat before heading to watch baseball or you're looking for an afterparty spot once the game ends, this felt like a solid Sajik restaurant for meat lovers.

## The vibe and group seating

Walking in, the interior was bigger than expected, and the tables were spaced out enough to eat comfortably.

They also have rooms and group seating that can fit up to 20 people, so it seemed like a good spot for family gatherings, get-togethers with friends, or company dinners.

Another nice touch: there's an event for baseball fans! If you're watching a game, you can grab a coupon on Naver for free woo samgyeop (beef brisket), so baseball fans might want to check that out before visiting.

## Side dishes set up after our reservation, and the menu lineup

We had reserved ahead, and maybe thanks to that, the side dishes were already neatly set up when we sat down. It was convenient to be able to start eating right away.

Bulmak Yeolsam had a variety of menu items including aged raw makchang (grilled intestines), raw pork belly, bulmakchang, and kkodeulsal. Single dishes can be ordered starting at 450g for the first order.

## What happens when you pair kkodeulsal with cheese and condensed milk?

We ordered three servings of kkodeulsal and a small beef tripe hot pot that day. Cheese was served alongside the kkodeulsal. At first, the combination of meat and cheese seemed a bit unusual, but the owner recommended eating the kkodeulsal with the cheese, and then dipping it in condensed milk on top of that.

![Kkodeulsal and cheese grilling together](https://img.superchart.com/images/bulmak-yeolsam-sajik-kkodeulsal-gopchang-jeongol/bulmak-yeolsam-sajik-kkodeulsal-gopchang-jeongol-07-1tf7m-900.webp)

![A piece of kkodeulsal eaten with cheese](https://img.superchart.com/images/bulmak-yeolsam-sajik-kkodeulsal-gopchang-jeongol/bulmak-yeolsam-sajik-kkodeulsal-gopchang-jeongol-08-m9kas-900.webp)

The savory, chewy texture unique to kkodeulsal combined with the soft, rich flavor of the cheese, and then the sweetness of the condensed milk came through at the end — the combination worked surprisingly well. It was a completely different taste from eating the kkodeulsal alone.

The savoriness of the meat plus the softness of the cheese plus the sweetness of the condensed milk all hit at once — and after trying it, I understood exactly why the owner recommended it. Personally, it was the combination I remembered most from that day.

The kkodeulsal itself was savory and delicious with no gamey smell, and the more I chewed, the more the distinctive texture came through, so I kept reaching for more. Eating it with cheese and condensed milk made for a fun, different way to enjoy meat.

## Slush ice soju, made with a hammer

As we kept eating the delicious meat, I naturally started craving soju haha. So we ordered some, and that's when another fun scene happened. The owner suddenly showed up holding a hammer. At first I thought, 'why is there a hammer here?' — but then he tapped the soju bottle, bang! and made slush ice right inside it. Amazing haha.

Turns out that hammer was specifically there to make slush ice for soju. Seeing the soju with a slight layer of ice was perfect for drinking alongside the meat. This kind of detail made me think the owner really loves good food and drink. This fun bit of service made the meal even more enjoyable.

## The small beef tripe hot pot — how big is the portion, really?

After eating a good amount of meat, the beef tripe hot pot we'd ordered arrived. I expected the small size to be a small portion, but it turned out to be more generous than I thought.

![Generous portion of the small beef tripe hot pot](https://img.superchart.com/images/bulmak-yeolsam-sajik-kkodeulsal-gopchang-jeongol/bulmak-yeolsam-sajik-kkodeulsal-gopchang-jeongol-12-1lluz-900.webp)

![Beef tripe hot pot with glass noodles and enoki mushrooms](https://img.superchart.com/images/bulmak-yeolsam-sajik-kkodeulsal-gopchang-jeongol/bulmak-yeolsam-sajik-kkodeulsal-gopchang-jeongol-13-vsi2i-900.webp)

The hot pot was loaded with beef tripe along with glass noodles, enoki mushrooms, kkodeulsal, and more. The broth was spicy and sharp from the first sip — a really fitting finishing dish after all that meat. It tasted even better with a drink in hand.

There was a good amount of tripe in there too, so it was fun picking through the pieces, and the glass noodles soaked up the broth nicely. Adding the enoki mushrooms brought in more texture too.

Finishing the meat off with the spicy broth was just perfect.

## To sum up

Overall, this felt like a place I could recommend to anyone looking for a good Korean BBQ restaurant in Sajik. The kkodeulsal itself was tasty, but the cheese-and-condensed-milk pairing was especially memorable, and the slush ice soju trick was a lot of fun too. The spicy, hearty beef tripe hot pot at the end made it easy to handle both dinner and drinks in one place.

Best of all, the restaurant is spacious, so it's great for visiting with a bigger group, and with rooms and group seating for up to 20 people, it should suit anyone looking for a gathering spot. If you're near Sajik Baseball Stadium looking for a place to eat before or after a game, or near Sajik Station looking for a casual drink with friends, this is a Sajik restaurant worth checking out.

Next time I visit, I'd like to try the other menu items one by one :) Especially that kkodeulsal I enjoyed so much — I'll definitely have it again with the cheese and condensed milk combo. If you want to enjoy meat, drinks, and a spicy tripe hot pot all in Sajik-dong, I'd recommend Bulmak Yeolsam Sajik!
