## How to find Moksam Hwaro: 5-10 minutes from Nowon Station Exit 1

Moksam Hwaro is a Korean BBQ restaurant on the 1st floor at 15-7 Nohae-ro 85-gil, Nowon-gu, Seoul, tucked in an alley in Sangye-dong. It's about 5-10 minutes on foot from Nowon Station Exit 1. Hours are Mon-Thu 17:00-23:00, Fri-Sat 16:00-23:00, Sun 16:00-22:00, with last order at 22:30 (21:30 on Sundays).

I met up with a friend after a long while and we went to Moksam Hwaro, the pork place we both love most in Sangye-dong (๑ˊ͈ ꇴ ˋ͈)♡॰ॱ I've been here a bunch of times even for work dinners, and every single visit has been delicious haha. Once you eat the pork neck here, you can't eat pork neck anywhere else lol. Alright, let's get into it!

We showed up right at the 5pm opening! There used to be no partition in the middle of the seating area, but there was a new one when I visited haha.

Staff came back to finish grilling the pre-seared meat. No need to grill it ourselves — they grilled it to the perfect point, which was so convenient.

Finally, the finished pork neck! It was seriously so tender and the aroma was insane... total chaos in the best way.

They said they use good quality raw meat, and you can definitely tell the texture is different. Even though it's pork neck, there was no dryness at all — it was tender and truly delicious.

### Tonkatsu sauce with bread crumb powder: how to eat it

And this sauce combo that came as a default was seriously amazing. It's tonkatsu sauce plus bread crumb powder, and even just dipping the meat in these two alone was so good.

And eating it together with the pickled chili peppers — no need to say more. Popping one in between bites of meat cleaned my palate so well that I kept reaching for more haha.
