## In short

Samsin Garosu-gil is a Korean-Chinese-Japanese fusion Chinese course restaurant on the 2nd and 3rd floors near Exit 8 of Sinsa Station, at the entrance to Garosu-gil in Gangnam, Seoul. Two diners ordered Samsin Course A at 25,000 won per person and worked through snow crab soup, handmade dim sum, Tokyo tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork), meat jjamppong and Taean potato jajangmyeon, and yuzu pudding, with each person choosing a different noodle. The review-event mango coconut sherbet arrived one per person rather than one per table, making Samsin Garosu-gil satisfying right to the last bite.

Today I went to a place called Samsin near Sinsa Station! They have Chinese course meals and Korean/Chinese/Japanese fusion dishes. I was in Seoul for the first time in a while and heard there was a Chinese course restaurant with a nice atmosphere on Garosu-gil, so I came to check it out haha.

## Samsin Garosu-gil hours, break time and valet parking

Samsin Garosu-gil is open Mon–Sun from 11:00 to 23:00, with a break time from 15:00 to 17:00. There doesn't seem to be a fixed closing day, and last order is at 22:00!

There's a valet service for parking — call the number posted and they'll bring your car to the front of the restaurant! The valet fee was ₩5,000.

## How to walk to Samsin Garosu-gil from Sinsa Station

The address is 46 Gangnam-daero156-gil, 2nd & 3rd floor, Gangnam-gu, Seoul! If you're taking the subway, come out of exit 8 at Sinsa Station, go straight, and turn left at the entrance to Garosu-gil.

I recognized it right away from outside haha. There's a wide waiting area by the entrance, so it looks great for people bringing strollers with their kids!

## Inside Samsin Garosu-gil: mood and table setting

The inside of Samsin Garosu-gil is decorated in an Asian style. (I forgot to take a photo of our table... ugh.) On the way up to the 2nd floor there are bottles of liquor on display, and they looked really pretty. Since it's a newly opened place, the restroom was clean and pleasant too haha. When I listened closely to the music, I realized it had the restaurant's name in it...? It was kind of funny at first, but the more I listened the more it got stuck in my head haha.

I had a reservation, and this was the basic table setting waiting for us! Isn't the water bottle so pretty lol. It wasn't plain water — it seemed to be some kind of steeped tea!

## What comes in Samsin Course A at 25,000 won per person?

- Samsin Course A ₩25,000 per person

There are more courses besides this one, but I only got photos of the front three. Since it was lunch, we went with Course A! There were two of us, so we ordered one jajangmyeon and one jjamppong for the noodles!

### Snow crab soup

First out was the crab soup. It was warm and had a soft feel, and it was nice to start off the course with. The seasoning wasn't too strong, so it was good for easing into the meal.

### Handmade dim sum

Next came the handmade dim sum! I'd seen photos of xiaolongbao beforehand and had expectations, and I liked that the wrapper wasn't too thick — there was plenty of juice inside, so even in one bite it wasn't dry, it was delicious! No gamey meat smell either, so I actually considered ordering more haha.

![Tokyo tangsuyuk with sauce poured over](https://img.superchart.com/images/samsin-garosugil-course-a-noodles/samsin-garosugil-course-a-noodles-17-1mdw7-1200.webp)

### Tokyo tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork)

Next up was the Tokyo tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). The bowl underneath seemed super hot. There was butter on top, and to melt it, the staff poured the sauce over right as it arrived, and it sizzled loudly! Each piece was on the larger side, and when I first bit in it was super crispy. Be careful with the first bite since it's hot...!! I actually liked it more after letting it soak a bit in the sauce rather than eating it right away — it got slightly chewy. The sauce had the most mellow flavor of any tangsuyuk I've had so far, I think. Absolutely perfect for a course meal +ㅡ+

![Meat jjamppong served as part of the course](https://img.superchart.com/images/samsin-garosugil-course-a-noodles/samsin-garosugil-course-a-noodles-19-1f7sr-966.webp)

### Meat jjamppong and Taean potato jajangmyeon

Then the noodle dishes came out, and the meat jjamppong (spicy noodle soup) was totally my type. It was moderately spicy and went well with the meat, I'd say? The noodles were also nicely chewy and delicious.

![Bowl of Taean potato jajangmyeon](https://img.superchart.com/images/samsin-garosugil-course-a-noodles/samsin-garosugil-course-a-noodles-20-h475t-966.webp)

This is the Taean potato jajangmyeon (black bean noodles). There were plenty of chunky ingredients in the sauce, which I liked, and the flavor wasn't too strong, which was also nice. A lot of places make it too sweet or too salty and it ends up not great ㅠㅠ This was my first time having jajangmyeon with potato in it, so it was interesting too haha. It went together better than I expected!

### Yuzu pudding and the mango coconut sherbet review event

For dessert, yuzu pudding came out. It was refreshing and sweet, which was nice. And most of all, the little spoon was so cute haha.

They're currently running a review event, so I joined right away, and instead of one per table, they gave us one each! Of course both of us wrote reviews. It's called mango coconut sherbet, but the coconut was just a light dusting of powder on top, so the mango flavor came through more haha. This made for a perfect finish to the meal.

## Who is Samsin Garosu-gil best for?

The interior felt upscale and the private rooms were well set up, so it seemed like a good spot for group gatherings too, and since every dish was high quality, it also seemed good for dates or for bringing your parents. My favorite was the Tokyo tangsuyuk, and I'm curious about the other dishes if I come back. The course price was also better than I expected, so it seems like an easy place to visit without much burden.
